Working. I decided college couldn't teach me anything I wouldn't learn from a job and it's true. Over the last 9 months I learned a lot about freelance illustration, and although a college might have also upgraded my portfolio and taught me new techniques, I doubt it woulda taught about pricing, copyright and contracts. I recently started working full time as a web designer, and it's teaching me a lot about business and other aspects of the internet and IT industry. Most of my work has been all to do with art and design, and if in the future I become an art or project director I'll know from experience what it takes for those bellw me to produce the goods! So Shirai, it may well have been a wise choice to studyart, since if you progress to bussiness manager for example and have to deal with designers to work on your advertising campaigns and logo designs, you'll be that little bit wiser about the whole thing, than a pure bussiness graduate. Hell, you could make the art stuff yourself!
