I don't have a diary, but much like one I have two books at home in which I write occasionally - I prefer them because if I don't write in them for 6 months I don't get that weird "diary-guilt" thing going on...! The orange covered one has my dreams and hopes in it (mostly, when I'm writing about myself and my feelings it's all poetry and doodles and weird collections of objects and stuff), and it's title is "dreams of seas of lives far away and very unlike these" (which is slightly pretentious, but I like it). It has photos and good memories in, mostly.and then there's the silver covered one, which I haven't written in in a while, and I consider that a good thing. It's the polar opposite of the orange "happy" book. I started it about 2 years ago, when I'd been put on medication for depression. It has lots of very sad self-indulgent and miserable stuff in, ramblings, other nastiness. I keep it to remind myself what it was like. And also, 'cause a black dog is for life, not just for Christmas. I expect I'll need it again, someday. Pix
