hmm got so many, some are in your list as well.

Let's see:
Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Iron Savior, Gamma Ray, Evergrey, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest (with Halford), old Metallica, Rammstein, Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, old Guns'n Roses, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Timeout Drawer, Mogwai, ...

Lots of styles, but mostly metal.

I dont think I have a particular fav. I'm more into solo artisits than I am bands but there are plenty of cool bands out there that I like listening to whenever they happen to be playing on the radio or mtv. Just dont ask me to name any!

i like grunge the most y'know early 90s seattle bands all you guys are older so i suppose you remember it better than me since i was only 5 or 6

well basicly I could copy Bomus reply.
I try to like music on a per song basis (tho there are people I like more songs from, then others

I have a Black music Radiostation in, so its mostly hiphop/rnb I hear nowadays (tho dont mind a nice amount of rock, dance, pop).

And right now I'm addicted to the Kill Bill soundtrack .

yup, saw it last friday and I must say its a great homage to the whole Asian action/splatter genre.
Something that should be seen on the big screen .
But be warned quite bloody.

Hehe- Bloody is a good thing in my books! The movie looks a little tacky in a way. From what I've seen of the trailers there's a lot of ripped off elements from other asian kung fu movies and so on. I dont mind, but it's a little irritating when everyone praises Tarantino for his originality! I hope to check it out within the next week

well I would'nt give tarantino points for originality for this movie.
But you have to see it under this aspect, Tarantino is a martial arts, blood opera, anime fan (btw. the anime part is great) like all of us.
And like all of us he dreams of putting all the style all the cliche and all the cheesy lines into one big bowl and stir it into one big badass movie.
But unlike us, Tarantino has the money to pull this off

So if you go to the cinema and dont see it under the aspect "that bastard he stole it from this movie and that from the big hit..."
You should enjoy it (atleast I did it).

As far as being as good as his other stuff, well the story is as standard as it could be, in that genre, but it is very well told .

And to get back on topic the Music works very well with it .

The latter three are Japanese bands.

Sorry Bomu, but i'm gonna have to pull you up on that. Tarantino has always been very open about the influences in his movies. The originality in his work is not in the content but in the way he constructs his stories with broken narrative.

Getting back to the thread I would have to say Pearl Jam are my favourite band if I had to narrow it down to one.

Going O.T again,

It's not so much Tarantio I mind- but his more narrow minded fans that praise him for ideas (among other things) which aren't as revolutionary as they seem to be making out.

Anyho, I saw Kill Bill last month. On the whole it was good, but maybe a little too wacky for my personal tastes. Maybe I'm just not used to stories being told in unconventional ways?
