It's 8:50 am and I'm at work (bored, so yeah). No one's here yet so I dunno what to do (I have some MS Access work for me, but the database is so dreadfully wrong I don't even want to start that x_X).
Er yeah, I work as a civil servant until the 28th. Not hard work, but early mornings and the tempo is way too slow XP But hey, gotta earn some dough for when I'm in Sweden next trimester!
Anyone else got a job?

ON FILE! i bet there isn't even a "File" they probly just toss my resume in the trash!! but i spos that just means i have to try harder. wonder where i should try next. i did the Melville co-op gas station 3 times and each time i was out on record. i tried the greocery store 2x no luck.mmmmm? any ideas ?

Bugsy -
Sounds like an alright little job, providing you can get your work done fast, then spend a few hours at work surfing the net, while still getting paid

Heh, I have the same trouble with Jobs. Been looking for something full time for 3 years, since leaving school, and only had one full time position for 3 months, as I was made redundant due to company cash flow problems I've not managed to find a decent position since. I apply for every suitable art, graphic design, web design job within an hours drive and am still struggling. Art jobs are always in high demand as only few come along each month, but I can't work out where I'm going wrong either! I guess the only thing to do is persevere. In the mean time, I have lots of freelance offers, but I'd much prefer a regular wage. I may consider non art related work soon

Yeah it's not all that bad, I just don't like doing nothing XP Makes the clock go so slow, lol.

Bomu: non-art related work is not a bad idea. It provides you a steady income, and you can always earn some extra with freelance art jobs. And in the meanwhile, you can still look for an art job. When you find one, give your boss the finger and quit XP

Well i was going to make a new topic about this, but that wouldn't be my fake mod poser style, now would it .

Any who I've been off from school for about... o 1 1/2 weeks. and i've been trying ever so hard to get a summer job. and as u might imagine that is not very easy to do when your town has a population of 4500! and only like 2 chain fast food joints.

So i tried everyplace that hired young folks, and well no luck. and when all seemed to be the shits. My dad comes over to me and tells me a friends of his is looking for a gas jockey at his "family" kinda gas sation, so i handed a resume in, and now i sit and wait, it's been two days and i think i got the job... i just gotta well have the guy phone me. but here's hopeing ! fingers crossed my friends!

Yeh fingers crossed. I'm sure 8 outta 10 jobs are filled by word of mouth rather than speculative letters and stuff.

I work at papa johns pizza and ive been there so about 4 years. I only get 6 bucks an hour but its a really fun job where you can do almost anything and get away with it. When i come to work i just goof around and its only 1 min away form my house. So when i have to work at 5 i leave my house at 5 hahaha. What i really want to do is save up some cash, quit my job and start my own comic book company which is going to happen.

I had to get a regular job that's gonna pay for my wedding. Only a stupid retail job for a clothes shop, definatly overworked and under paid. The worst thing is it's an hour's travel each way...

I've just applied for TK Maxx and it's only a few mins away, and if I get it I'm thinking about taking commission work to max out a portfolio, add a little to the fund and maximise my time properly. 10 hours extra at least a week! Sounds daft but it adds up.

Just remember at interviews, ignore what everyone says about being yourself. You have to tell them what they want to hear. Deny all weaknesses! lol
