- Most pro artists don't look down on anyone. (And Cloud is definetly good enough to be considered Pro!) Everyone's gonna be at different levels with their art - most artists accept this and are pretty supportive and would be happy to give friendly advice and encouragement. The only trouble is, the more accoplished artists are generally busy people and don't have time to give help to anyone that asks for it, which is fair enough. I get emails every week from budding artist asking for art tips. I don't even consider myself that good in the grand scheme of things, so I imagine the big name artists must get several letters/emails per day! You then gotta think, if they were to devote an hour to each person to give advice and critique on their portfolio, they'd most likely have to give up their day job and stop doing anything they want to do, like go fishing or spend time with their families. It doesn't hurt to ask the good artists for help, just keep in mind they'll have a lot on their plates quote: Originally posted by Cloud:
Oh, and bomu, do you actually know Cloud? He's like my angel if you do know him could you fill me in on a few things?
- I've not met him personally. I first checked out his art a few years back via a UK Anime Artists mailling list we're both on, and have been in touch a few times since.. Mainly while I was working on TAODM, I needed help to complete the book within the deadline and Cloud seemed happy enough to help and get his stuff published.
