I'll be here forever if I were to go through each step to create a site like mine. But if you're using Dreamweaver and wanna make a site with it:Step 1: Open Dreamweaver
Step 2: Click help on the tool bar at the top
Step 3: Then click "getting Started and Tutorials"
Step 4: Read through all those and experiment  Also (taken from the OM FAQ) Q: What did you use to make your web site? A: For the pages themselves mainly a software package called Macromedia Dreamweaver MX. It creates the html for you, so you don't have to waste time writing it all out manually. It's similar to Microsoft Frontpage, but a lot more expensive. If you're serious about web designing I'd recommend it but it will set you back around $300 US. So you might want to try looking for a second hand copy. If you have Microsoft Windows 98+ you should be able to install Frontpage Express, which is a good program for beginners to get to grips with. My site as a whole isn't just Dreamweaver made. Some of the java script and html was hand written, so Dreamweaver won't be able to do everything you see on my site. The animation and navigation were created with Macromedia Flash MX. The image/graphics I have used (for example the girl on the left) were made by using a graphics/photo editing package called Adobe Photoshop. The PHP back-end parts of the site such as form processing and mailing list were written specifically for Organic Metal by Rik of Wooti Ltd. Q: I have Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop, but I still can't make a good page, any tips? A: You can have the best and most expensive tools in the world, but they wont magically make you a good web page. The key is creativity and knowledge of 'what looks good' design-wise. Think of a theme, colour combination and ideas to base your site on. Look at lots of different sites, see how they do things and experiment. Use other's sites to help influence the design of your own, but do not directly copy them.

-Yeah, I used to be employed as a full time front end designer for a while, before being made redundant. I do the occassional site from time to time, although they're usually simple 1-6 page static html sites for small / new companies- I'd charge around 500 quid ($1200 Canadian dollars) for those. If you wanted something a little more advanced, like mine, I'd charge at least double.
If I were you, I'd stick with your current design! It's not bad. First site I did when I was about 15 was terrible! Only took another 5 years before I learned how to create something a little more decent I still needed to pay out to get the PHP scripts I wanted (Guest book, Blog etc), but it was worth it.
