In an attempt to clean up the board, us Mods and Old Skool Members would appreciate it if we could work together to reduce spam and profanity!
Without wanting to sound like a overly strict parent.. the forum needs to be newbie friendly by keeping discussions broad, open and on topic. It can be difficult for new members sign up and post when they're not familiar with the in-jokes, and chit-chat. I was recently saying it is frustrating to visit boards where people use them as chat rooms rather than discussion forums- I end up having to trawl through dozens of posts just to find something relevant to the initial topic and would obviously prefer not to have to do that!

    Banter and jokes and cool - just don't go overboard. If you're joking- make it obvious! Add j/k or a etc to show this. I've gotten to know when all the members here are serious or not, but to a newbie it could look really out of order and off-putting

    Play nice! I can see any name calling and stuff is all done in fun, but other people may not see it like that. But to be honest, there shouldn't be any name calling or accusations thrown about on the board.

    I've got nothing against swearing, but use is sparingly.

    When Critiquing- please use tact! This isn't Pop Idol with Simon Cowell. People may want genuine feedback, but stating their work is crap and a waste of time isn't gonna help anyone. It just creates negative vibes.

    If you can stay on-topic that's good! If you have something off topic to say, make a new post for it, or PM that person if it's not worthy of a new thread.

Forum fun is good. A little consideration before posting is all we ask.

If you notice any posts deleted/ edited, this may be why. cheers
