When working with an image in Photoshop(or any other image editing software with support for layers) you can place image elements on different layers. It's basically like working with a set of transparent films, in the context of doing comic art you would draw your lineart on one transparency and then colour on another one placed beneath so that the colours show through the clear parts of the lineart transparency.

In a program like Photoshop the transparencies are actually a series of bitmaps layered one on top of another which you can select and edit independently of the other bitmap layers.

But layers are a feature that good modern graphik programs have.

Its like haveing a sheet of paper.
You can than have another transparent sheet over it (a layer).
This way you can draw over your drawing without damaging it.

At the moment my current work load is as follows (Just to prove I'm not totally lazy!):

*- Latest commission. (Just need to scan and CG)
*- Design CD cover for a friend, since I owe him one... or ten
*- MVGC Submission. Really wanted to draw a Mia pic for this month, depends if I get time
*- Then update the MVGC!
*- Planning for a totally new website. As soon as I get stuck into the design I'm sure it'll take a while. It's gonna be mostly Flash, so it'll probably take a while. Will hopefully make a start on it some time in August.
*- Also ideas floating around for a big redesign of Organic Metal. Probably wont make a start on it 'till September/October, since after that I'll be considering moving my domain to a new server..

cool shit too.well, mainly cool shit, some action not a whole bunch since comedy is what im centering it around.

my only fear is that most people wont find my comicstrip funny and that my strip will go down in flames.
