So first thing first.
Yup the avatar was meant to be me, but friends told me it looks more like woody allen.
I guess the chin is to pointy.

For the name.
We have to get back in time, in a period when the hottest game out there was doom.
A friend had two pc's connected together and we played a little multiplayer but I did'nt had a good nickname, something that was powerfull and violent.
So after a short brainstorming time (2min) I came up with Angelmaker and the fragging could start.

Well I liked Angelmaker and started to use it as my only name in games (excluding fantasy games I made a alternate version that fitted the genre more).

The time passed and Angelmaker brought fear to his opponents in,
doom 1+2, Dukenukem 3d, Shadowwarrior, Quake, Shogo, Jediknights,Alien vs Predator, halflife, UnrealTournament and Counterstrike.
I realy loved the name and started to create a comic story around Angelmaker (never drawn anything for it).

But when I searched for angelmaker in ICQ I realized that the name wasnt unique anymor (I kinda like it to have a unique name).

So I started to search for a new nickname.
Something different not as violent(I have grown up abit ) anymore, classic, good sounding, with a shitload of meanings and a name that isnt also a name for a movie .

So I looked everywhere for inspiration ,considered translations of angelmaker but nothing that I like.

There is something cool about the carsigns over here in germany(dont panic it is connected with my name).
They are split in the first few letters(1-3), which describes the city the car is registered and the following letters(2) and numbers(3) are random to identify the cars.
The cool thing is that sometimes the letters form an actual word.
I live in Giessen and the city id on cars is GI.
Words that can be seen on cars are GI-RL or GI-FT (in german the word means poison) and while it isnt a word that makes sense, there are quite alot cars that drive around with GI-AM.

I liked the sounding, when the word was spoken in english (had a asiatic fell to me).
Played with it around in my had and decided that it could stand for Giessen Angelmaker as a homage for my old nick.
But it can also mean Giessen Artus Malech which is my real life name.

After a few tests in Unrealtournament I felt comfortable with G.i.A.m. beside a kill message.

And now I rock games and forums as G.i.A.m.
