I wonder how did you get started on drawing Manga because i remember in six grade I found a videogame called evil zone and when I played it i liked it when i looked inside the little booklet I saw anime versions of the characters and I started to draw them and used some of their techniques on my own personal characters and I sometimes use it even now!

I started like most people- copying pictures outta magazines. Later finding out what I was drawing was anime/ manga. I suppose since the age of about 10, the style has influenced my work. I'm 21 now so I'd like to think the whole manga thing is here with me to stay

As a kid, I was forever drawing pictures from my fave video games, which included at various times the likes of Megaman, Link, Mario and others. Later on, I did a lot of drawing based on my Warhammer armies... I didn't really get into drawing anime until I got Final Fantasy VII, which really turned my life around I suppose because it got me back into video games in a big way as well as comics and anime.
Nowadays, I prefer not to worry so much about reproducing an anime style in my work - I just concentrate on making my work look as cool as possible

Drawing started off properly for me when I was about 16 - a friend of mine showed me www.howtodrawmanga.com. From there, it was just a matter of finding Polykarbon, and eventually buying the books. Oh yeah, and FF7 was another inspiration .

I started when I was real young, I used to draw mostly yoshi like snakes and lizards. I could draw good but it was not a realistic style. Then in 2000 I played the best video game ever, Capcom vs SNK!! I said to my self I want to make a video game as cool as that. So I started making my own characters and well I couldn't draw people so I started drawing the human body. After about 4 years later I'm a happy man and I will be drawing forever! HULK SMASH!

I started when Street Fighter 2 (warriors dreams) first came out on the snes. I kept drawing Ryu because he was my favourite character (was? he still is!). I never took art in school though I cant stand painting. Up until about a year ago all I did was tiny doodles on some a5 paper I robbed from school after visiting sites like this I have started to take it more seriously.

This is an amazing story. I think I'm pretty much the world's best ten year old anime-artist. I JUST STARTED DRAWING THIS YEAR! I wish I could show you guys some of my pics, and if your really desperate send me a secret message and tell me to show them 2 u. For proof, I have entered many art contests and won. even competing against proffesionals. cool, huh? use photoshop 7.0. it's the best for manga. you don't want too new-and-expensive software, but you also don't want something too old. I have learned this from many art trades. but it's not the software, it's the user.
