there was a thread that said that jats1 was the second best artist on the site which made me think what if we have like an organic metal competition between the members?

mmmmm might be fun, tho.. mabye the mods should host it and set up rules and regulations to the contest and judge the contestents. Then the mods/bomu have a free for all agianst each other and the board votes on there's and see's who's they like better. well that's wat i'd do.

Hmmm "the best of the board" sounds rather ambitious to me, in a negative sense ;p
But now and then an art contest can't hurt, I guess. I remember some on the old How to Draw Anime/Solace forums which were quite entertaining. Until it got out of hand and there were contests with the most stupid themes being started every day.

Hehe yea, things tend to get out of hand really fast on the net i've found. But i'd be all for it if everyone else went in. You guys haven't seen any of me new stuff lately so i think i might do pretty good. well besides the none CGing.... since i have no m@d $ki1lz.

But any ways.. how many people are really going to go through with this?

Ok lets set a deadline and a type of theme for the drawing as well as how to vote the winner. Then all we need to do is get Bomu's special and offical seal of approval and then "lets get it on babay!" Personally I think if we had group fourm types of contest maybe every 2-3 months or so I would be cool but its not set in stone just whenever it feels right or possible.

Of course! Why would you need to make a topic like this? The OM Book Of Rules clearly states that Cloud is the best artist on the Organic Metal Message Board. All in order say "your mom".

I'd say we make 3 class

- 14 and under class
- 15 & up class
- Mod class

And i'd say we start after new years , that way every one can get some good practice in. Then say 2 months to reall work at it?

then we could have the other class members vote on other class members .. such as
the 15 & up class could vote on 14 and younger and mod class entries.

and Mod Class could vote on 15 and higher and 14 and lower class. get it?

anyways that's what i'd say

Well, I havn't drawn for like 3 months (lol) so I'll try to draw something reasonable. If nothing comes I'm dropping out. But count me in, 14 and under class.

im 17 and if its 15+ that means everyone over that age has to go up against jats which isnt fair hes way too good!

I dont think age is very important. If people want to take that into account when they vote, then its up to then. If you start splitting people up into categories I think this idea will die.
