"Art of drawing Manga" was the first title. This was condensed down into an 80 page version with a drawing kit called "Drawing Manga in Simple Steps"."Step-by-step Manga" was the second title, which no one seems to have heard of, despite the publishers having sold 10 times as many copies!

TAODM had several covers - the two main ones being girl with fingers spread and girl holding gun.. Taken from my site's FAQ:
Q: Whats the deal with the TAODM cover?
A: I was presented with an image by the publisher of a girl holding a gun. I was asked to re-work this image for the cover, but without a gun appearing in the image, as the American market is sensitive towards guns on covers. The rest of the world isn't as concerned about the level of censorship, so I was then asked to edited the "open hand" image to include the gun- to look like the original image I was given. I regret my original cover design was rejected prior to working on the final cover. The publisher were adamant on using an adapted version of the existing illustration.
I later found out the original girl image I was given to replicate was from the anime "Noir" and since a fair few people knew this, I was accused of art theft and took a massive amount of undue abuse, hate mail and theats of being sued!
Luckly the 'how to draw manga book' market has become sickeningly saturated and TAODM has faded into the background. I'm not ashamed of it by any means, but I the abuse and threats I ended up with was insane so I'm glad it's dying down.
I've been asked to produce 2 other 'How to draw mangas' but there really isn't much else to teach or learn that hasn't already been covered and it's ended up becoming nothing but an excuse for publishers to cash in on the current manga "craze"
