Ya getting there! The trousers are looking alright, so just try keeping the rest of him looking like them. One thing I always do to start is lay down my flats - then build on top of them. Might be something to consider?

Other than that, how about keeping more of ya work in the same thread? It's just I can see the WIP forum tuning into the flashdragoon forum at this rate It's great that you're drawing lots- Wish I had the motivation, but if you could limit ya thread posting and maybe put all ya stuff in one thread, it'd keep the place a little more tidy. Cheers

A lot of artists 'block' their work. ie they colour all the various parts of the pic with the mid-range colour of the colour for that part. These are called the flats (no shading nothing). After the flats are laid you can work on the shading and highlights on top.

btw good start!!

damn i'm using exclamation marks.

wau you just prove a little theorie, I had, right (that it is more important to understand the basics of coloring/drawing than the program).
You realy has the light source consistant concrats.
Only critic I have for now is the cheap bg, a single plain seemless texture will never look good as a background (it is better when you know this from the start ).

Best thing about flats is, that you only have to go to the flats layer and use the magicwand tool to select the area that you want to color.
