Yup!! Well im about half way through this one and im just lookin for some opinions....
I been lookin at it too long and i want an unbiased opinion.

very nice... I'd say her arm's a little straight, it wouldn't be too comfortable to hold it out like that... good colour choices and stuff... was this done in watercolour? looks like it... :)

looks great again.
I well I guess it is a WIP so you propably allready fixed the stuff I will voice now

The dogs could be darker (near black maybe mixed with brown).

She should cast a shadow on the thing she is laying on.

The objects in the background (pyramids) could use some highlights to give them a better sense of 3d.

And the plant somehow draws quite some attention to my eye dunno why (maybe to colorful?).

But I'm sure the drawing will turn out as great as the others.

Thanx again for the imput Giam!!! Thats the kinda stuff im lookin for stuff that i miss!!Youre right i think that plant is just a bit too chromatic!!!!

Oh and to answer your question Pixie... no its acrylic theyve been elluding me for years sooo i must conquer them!!

That really is a gorgeous painting... I'm so impressed it's in acrylic! They don't like me, acrylics, not one bit... ;) The background - it's so evil, brooding, and that's reflected in so much of the picture: especially Cleo herself, those eyes draw you to them... Anatomy's spot on, as are the shadows - which is what I rekkon makes it look so accurate... you must've spent AGES on this! and the colour choices are perfect. Any chance we can see it a bit larger, a bit higher res?

anyway, honey, I'm dead impressed... ;) that is great work... soryy I'm not being too helpful, just endless flattery, but I felt I had to say... =)

Cant put it in better words than Pixie Nim did.

The Plant and Dogs look great now and I love the added details.

Hm one little thing tho ,
The golden stuff looks a bit dull to me.
Maybe more highlights or a little orange/yellow(not too much), to make it more shiney.

But maybe it is only the scan.

OH geeze im soooo embarassed!!thanx for all your great comments!

Well Pix ( can i call you Pix??) thats the limitations of that site (still trying to figure out how to build a free one!!)
I think i might just break down and write the HTML raw!! Well as for ages...it felt like it but it was more like 35-40 hrs. all together drawing to finished paint.

Oh and about the gold areas Giam... some parts are actually gold leaf that i glued in place, so its reacts differently in light!( but ill deffinately re-evaluate those other spots!)

OOooooh what a massive improvement, now that its finished. I love the detail on the gold stuffs, and the background is quite unique too, like a storm is brewing... (Egyptian stuff is usually portrayed in a bright/light manner) Heh those Anubis(sp?) style dogs are pretty spiffy too! Good job! Look forward to seeing more

ahh the finished product is beautiful ^o^ i like the dogs! they look like some statues that popped to life ready to bash something >

the background confuses me a bit, but i love the gold stuff! it seems real

im curious as to what type of techniques did you use, i cant tell from looking at it. . did you use watercolor techniques? or is the paint thick?

just wondering

Thanx kaori, funky... I appreciate all your comments. As for the paint its pretty thick. Some of my new paintings have allot of texture in them too!
Oh and every once in a while ill put some glycerin into the paint to make it work even more like oils.
