Here are a couple sketches I did recently:

Okay, I'm only gonna crit the first one since I have to rush to a crit (of some crappy collage!) myself...

I don't know the character, so I can't comment on that - but I love the style of the piece... facial expression is cool! The only thing I think seems weird is that his shorts seem a bit like inflated balloons...? Dunno if that's a costume thing, or what?

Otherwise, I like it... sorry, man, gotta dash... will be bollocked by art teachers otherwise...!

Your Dantes lookin pretty spiffy so far. I was never able to come up with a decent pose for the son of a devil!

Lol, yep those balloon pants were intentional. Let's just say Square has some pretty interesting costume designs

i like both your pics but the only crit im gonna make is on sora i think his face is a little to chunky but over all the pictures are really cool

Soras shorts are NOT like that,and the ic is such a rip of of the concept art.find a orginal pose,for chrisake.

I mean even J.C.Leyendecker suggested that people learn through copying!!
However there comes a time when you have to break out on your own, but there are other ways to suggest it!

Yup! Don't get discouraged!! Whenever I have time I like to whip out a magazine and try to copy a few pictures. Just for practice. It definitely helps you improve.

theres another thing ..umm....his eyes...maybe thats why he seems chunkier then he should be...lol...his eyes are alot wider and bigger ....((disney)).....and yours are that of liek anime......but still its kool...

sugestions are the worst ....thats why i complain....

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I hope to learn a lot from you all and I appreciate your honesty!

Now that I look at the Sora pic, I do think that the shorts are a bit wide, I guess that lends to his "chubbyness" as well. I've got to trim him down a little, lol.

I'm guessing the Dante pic is more to your liking sense there hasn't been much said about it...but there must be something, come on let me have it

He's from a game called Devil May Cry for PS2. So no it's not original...

I am a HUGE fan of KH so I really have to agree with Pencil Soldier, Sora's shorts do not ballon like that at all, yes they are big tho. and yes the pose is a bit of a rip, :BUT: I do like the way you have added your own style to it.
