I wanted to create a character who can kick some butt and someone we can all relate to- the Artist!
This guy has a lot of frustrations in life and vents his feelings though his art and fighting (of course!)- using a variety of media to get the job done.

I plan on creating a mural or some sort of design to cover the back of his uniform. Before I progress, I'd like to hear your thoughts. Cheers.

Personaly I would drop the net-shirt,
and change those biker/fighting gloves to those nice white cotton gloves that prevend pencil and ink smudges .

Angelo- I'll probably keep the hair. I agree, he might look better and more "real" if it was shorter, but I've been drawing too many short haired mails and feel like a change plus exagerating hair styles is something typical of the game and I want it to tie in as much as possible. But yeah, It'd be cool to see a pic of him kicking the crap outta the school bully for trashing his art project! Anyone else wanna draw that one?

SilentDan. Still undecided on colours I original thought traditional dark grey or black for the uniform, but maybe with a hint or purple? And maybe some ink stains up the sleeves providing they look ok

G.i.A.m- I'll try to sort out the balance issue. The toes on his right foot are supposed to be off of the ground slightly, so a little shadow underneath will hopefully illustrate this and maybe he could do with a sligh rotation to the left.. I like the white cotton gloves idea! Altho his opponent's blood stains might ruin them after a battle or two!

Any suggestions for what I could draw on the back of his jacket? I thought perhaps a tattoo style oriental dragon to tie in with the Japanese theme, but anything would go.

Zankouken- sounds really interesting! Do you remember the name of the movie? I was considering "Penny Crayon" style moves whereby he'll draw something and it comes to life, but it's perhaps a little over the top for this game!

I wont have time to fully render the character pics before deadline, but I have worked on these more and here's the result:

Part-time job: Draws and sells caricatures in the mall after school instead of doing homework.

Spending many hours working on his artwork and original comic book stories, Sosuke has become a real perfectionist. He takes criticism very badly- and this can provoke his violent streak! Daigo noticed his strong fighting spirit during an “art criticism incident” and asked him to join his gang. Edge is jealous of Sosuke as Edge takes great pride in his “Gedo gang patrol teams” logo designs but thinks they seem worthless compared to anything Sosuke might draw.
Although polite and friendly with fellow class mates, Sosuke spends much of his time alone to concentrate on his personal projects and goals. He doesn’t engage much in social chit-chat although he realises this is giving the girls the impression he’s not interested, despite having a secret crush on Akira. He regrets his attitude most when he sees her helping Gan with homework instead of him!
As with other artists, Sosuke has a keen eye for detail and can quickly pick up and mimic movies he has seen performed by others. He is able to launch projectile attacks in the form of various artistic media which he keeps in his pockets and school bag.

Just kidding , I really like it CGed brings out a coller side of him. just a little disapointed I was hoping the hand logo on his bag would be orange but neh your work not mine.
