looking pretty good, I particularly like the dragon and the overall composition too. However there are some anatomy issues with the man. His legs are way too short, and should be positioned in a more dynamic way to show us whether hes jumping high or flying or whatever, at the moment it looks as though hes standing directly upright on firm ground and slightly rotated diagonally. Also his raised arm would make his shoulder raised also, so that its higher than the shoulder of the not raised arm.

Don't know if that makes sense, but I hope it helps

Basically, pretty much what Jats said, but maybe you ought to have the dragon's mouth open or something that'll make it look more threatening to him. It would add to the dynamism of the picture overall. Aside from that, liking this one.

Oh, and congrats on Super Member status

ok so i figured that if jats did it i should do it too...lol.

sorry tri for killing your origional pic but im just trying to help out. ok now the dragon has a full wind span, the tail is right behind the guy almost like the dragons gonna stab him in the back. the dragons claws are in full fight stance and the person and the dragon are making full eye contact. this is what a really action shot would look like and again sorry for chopping up your art

aaa... the idea of the drawing isn't that the dragon and the mage are dukeing it out, the dragon was kinda asleep, and he's kinda waking up while the mage is kinda figureing out a spell for the beast. and in the same time the dragon is kinda giveing him that "o yea wat are u going to do" glare.

haha well anywho am working on my new drawing of just the mage.

if u folks want i can scan in my character 4 my maby up comeing comic, tho it's not really anime style well kinda but not really. it's more cartoony.

it's good, but confusing, is the dragon asleep for real? it looks wide awake, and is the hero descending upon the dragon? also the anatomy on the top arm seems to be a bit odd...look at jats drawing he gives you an idea of placement? if the man is descending one knee should be raised again as shown by jats, it will look more like an attack rather then like he's falling. It looks good though, good start, hope to see the finished piece!

no the dragon isn't asleep he just kinda woke up and is kinda pissed off but really minding the guy. The dragon doesn't find him a threat.

ok hmm...perhaps expressing that anger and annoyance in the dragon more...right now he just appears as if he's looking up at the hero...I don't find any emotion in his face. maybe that is just me, but seems like everyone else is having a hard time as well figuring out what is being expressed here. It's really good tri! don't think i'm dissing it! ^.^

Sorry about the time it took me to reply... well yeah nice pic especially liked all the green and red squiggles j/k

Right well i'm with Jats on it needing a more dynamic pose, liked the dragon but he/she didnt really seem to be related to the "hero" perhaps raising the angle of the head and opening the mouth a bit would have helped. oh and i think he/she (the dragon that is) needs bigger spiny bits running down the neck!

All in all nice starting piece and i look forward to seeing the revised "hero" when you sort out the proplems your currently encountering!
