... well not really attacking anything but it got your attention!

I blame Jats for my sudden burst of marine life! Its them tentacles you just cant beat them!

Comments on the squid much appreciated could have put this in the quick sketches section (with my fabulous octopus!) but may colour it so decided to put it here!

It's very accurate, but it seems all he's doing is sitting there. Very good pic though, and I have an idea as to how to make it a bit more lively - try making a really cool-looking sea background. Or have it in a city, and he's firing lasers out of his eyes. LOL. Seriously, looking forward to the coloured version.

(arrgh, now I feel bad, because of what I said about it being boring. I didn't mean it in a nasty way or anything, just that it looks a little 'dead' if you know what I mean. Still, I'm sure the real part of the picture will be the colouring and all.)

yeah dude what would be real cool is if you made him look like he was turning around in the water or something like that so all the tentacles are flowin around n doin their thing, the 2 big ones would look cool like spirally or something ya know, all around dynamic movement-looking picture, but i say all this id f*** it up if i tried to draw it like that lol

on the less *im trying to steal ur pictur* note, i think it looks good as angelo said but looking more lively would be wicked, and more realistic i mean you dont see em all stiff like that in wild life shows do ya lol, unless theyve been put to sleep or something

hehehe nice squiddiey i hate eating squids ughh but i had one for tea slap bang in the middle of my plate mmmm looked just like yours. yeah excellante i wish they would bring a book on how to draw squid and pose refernce books ooh yeah organic squid did you refernce the pic from a photo? or was it off the imagination?

It was taken from my imagination but a few days before i was watching a wildlife programme on TV which featured a squid so that was probably the main inspiration for proportions etc. I will be redrawing it in a more dynamic pose perhaps attacking something who knows!
