what im doing is just trying out getting the head shape right n the hair right, that just a dodgy hairstyle i threw together, may have gone over the top cos its a lil hard to follow
i know she looks like a retard cos i really cant do faces for the life of me, and i know that right eye shouldn't be visible but i figure its allowed cos its a sketch and cos i couldn't be bothered to reach a few inches to the right and pick up my rubber...

anyway, please gimme all the usual crits and whatever you call it...advice...think that's the one; cos i wanna know either what im doing badly, how to improve, how to do better in those areas..or in all of it if ive just done it all wrong lol im gonna be doing a portrait type pic for my art final piece real soon so actual helpful comments are much appreciated

The bangs are good, but the thin straggly bits should follow the curve of the main lock of hair, rather than curl off in the other direction.

i thought my hair was lookin strange but i didnt pick up it was the little curly-off bits hehe

and i knew her face shape was off too, i wont do it like that again huh

Let's start on your Ears your making them too plan rounded, spend a little time to look at some ears this will improve you alot. Generally a small round at the top with the earlobe at the bottom a touch. Even if it's a small detail it will make your pictures look greater and you won't have to hide them really with messy hair.. 5-10secs should have no problem furthering that.

On your 3rd Picture, it's ok but there is a few alterations would make it look better. At start it sort of looks as a male slightly.

Looks to me you were trying to compensate for the width of her face by making her shoulders more broader, might want to get them a softer more leaner look not so bulky. (atm you've made her look like a guy from it) I've done some big body pictures look nice.

1st. Her face jaw lines, you added more depth which is good but on the right side you just did a stroke. You should add another stroke about 70% and with a slight upward curve would make her look more female. (every line start/middle/end is important don't get sloppy and rush it will greatly effect you as you advance)

2nd. Her neck is too thick, almost fighter thickness about. I suggest you bring in the neck frontline to a bit above of her chin or try something else several could work.

3rd. Her eyelids, they are way to close placed by the eye.. unless she is opening her eyes in "amazement" they would be that small doesn't look so giving off the look she is a shemale lol. Place them up a bit more and give them a slight rounded feel. (the eyebrows seem a bit to long to me but hey it's just opinion there)

4th. You might want to make her mouth a bit smaller but nothing major.

Finally- Her hair it's just too messy, females look much better if you take some time to think how you want it too look. You should just stop trying to spike every strain end in all directions then you'll get a more enhanced look as you further and learn more. (but her hair could be wet or maybe it's from sweatiness but it's a bit over the top, unless she doing some major running hehe)

Ahh, almost missed something.. since her face is turned unless she is one big hairball more hair should be on her frontside (right of picture) than on the leftside. I would refine her hair and that would make it look better and slim down her face appeal greatly.

You might also want to make the eyes look more feminine later by adding in more line curves but that is a style thing.

ive got this really annoying problem where if i draw out the facial features and they look *round about* the right place then i have trouble drawing the face around them >.<
and if i do it the other way round by drawing a light circle n building the face shape up n all that bla bla then i can never place the eyes n stuff on it properly afterwards lol dunno why i just cant seem to get to grips with doing that =/

I'll have to say this redraw looks alot better than that last one and yeah she looks like a female now. I see first off you dropped her shoulder making her younger/female looking. Then you cut down her eyebrow size. Since, you drew the picture a bit reduced in size the eyelid thing
doesn't matter much anymore.

The clean hair makes her look alot better.
I only suggest you try different hair styles in the future give you a feel to mix it up.

Ok, with that said there is still one slight mistake.. something you didn't have on the last picture.

1st. Her collar bones they are a bit off-sided. Now, this is just a technique thing but you can leave it like that.. But, I'd just suggest you slim down the left one a bit more since it's going back and down into perspective; then possibly elongate the right; and then shift it over a bit. You could do several but it would look better if you changed it slightly. Would be a plus to add more depth to the collar bones (touch more curves) shows off the breast.. and chest better

(also it would appear her chest is twisted from it atm but you can't tell since there is no legs) That is all.

By twisted I meant nothing bad from it just if the picture was to continue her waistline would be twisted in the direction of her collar bones. So her torso would be in that direction intended I have no clue exactly if Silent meant that just looking beyond the point.

and kento lmao twisted round an atm machine...how the feck would she get like that hahah
