Looks great gramps! At least one of us has the time and patience to write a tut- I literally have had over a dozen requests for CGing tuts, but still havn't gotten off my backside! A life of Internet, TV and gaming don't allow much time for anything else >_<Firstly, why does that fact 'ric' getting caught for not going to uni effect the progress of this tutorial?
- For the tut, I'd add exactly how you lay the flat colour or you'll get people asking if it's done with the magic wand tool, polygone selection, freehand pencil or paintbrush or whatnot.
- Thought it was good that you added detail eg: "Airbrush (shortcut = J) - opacity 14-20%,"
So, add the SC keys in for other tools too e.g, "across the hair with a dodge brush set to midtones "
It also ends kinda abruptly.. You click next and think... oh.. is that it? - Make a statment saying THIS IS THE FINISHED PIC, THE END or something
Overall, it's interesting to see how you work and helps give a new perspective to certain elements that other tuts don't cover. If I were to do a CGing tut, I'd try to make it a little more indepth as to cover any possible questions people might be thinking half way though- exactly how to achive this I don't know!! It's a lot harder if you've been doing the same process for years, and then try explaining it to someone new to CG- you forget all the little pitfalls you had to face while you were learning.
btw, I'm sure there were more but on pg1:
"it's fairly comrpehensive" was a spelling error and:
"because a lot is done wothout really "
