... out of an art-depression that started some two weeks ago... X (by Clamp) fanart. I'm not the greatest Clamp fan, but I liked X anyway

hey not bad.
The colors are great
and I like the glow around its hand, really nice.
only two little things are bugging me.
first the black lines for the cracks in the X its to clear that it is only a black line on top of it (especial the line near the head on the left site) a real crack follows the objekt more.also you can place a white version under the black lines to give them a more 3d look.
the other thing is the eye on the left site looks a bit odd but dunno why.
other than this i is really good

Woah, when I get in a slump I can't draw at all until it goes, which is usually at least a few months

but this looks great! I'm not a Clamp fan either and havn't seen X, but I can see you've done a very cool CG on this one- really nice lighting and special effects.
I think his face (on the left hand side) could do with a little more 'shape'. The line from his chin to the hair line is very straight, and could use some more curves, such as indentation on the eye line.. if that makes sence? Did you CG the BG "X" as well?

Clamp did Cowboy Bebop? Just kidding!

G.i.A.m: yeah the black line crack thing x_x;; It hardly shows up on my monitor, but I should've checked by changing the gamma in photoshop :/ I've done cracks with white lines before in other pics, but I wanted it to look very subtle and dark :/

Bomu: actually I tried to imitate clamp's style more or less, line-art wise (but the cg made it look very different XD). That should explain why the guy has such straight face outlines, but I think I overdid it, lol. The bg was done by me as well.
oh and actually, lol, now you mention it. This pic completely reminds me of a Spike fan-art I did a couple of months back
