Well, I've now worked out what the internet is so i thought it was time to show some of my work.

The pic was originally a sketch I did last year, but after looking at all the CG on the Net (esp here) I thought I'd have a go. The scan was done last year as well and was straight from pencil so the lines look kinda crap. I had a go at tracing them on Photoshop but got worse results from my trusty mouse

This is my second CG ever and I reckon it's ok but here's hoping I'll get better. Prob is Uni and exams. I've got a whole load coming up Oh well, waiting for any c&cs.

New to the internet? I dunno if you're anything like me, but I can't live life without it!

You've done a great start on the artwork- for a second CG it's very impressive compared to my early ones - the hair especially is looking v cool.

A few tips:
-Try CGing some of your newer stuff. I'm sure you've improved over the last year?
-Yeah, I agree the line work's a little mucky. What I do is very lightly stroke out an outline with a 2H, then either pressing harer or using a HB/B I'll make bolder strokes which illustrate nice clean curves. It is possible to make pencil work look nearly as neat as inked stuff, but it takes time.
- I'd bring in her waist and rip cage in a little more on her right (out left) side.

I'm sure you're stuff'll improve over time. Maybe just draw and chill inbetween exams 'cos the more practice, the better you'll get
Keep it up

hey not bad considering that it is a freehand mouse CG .

The proportion is way better then the stuff I produce normaly.
Only the skin color is maybe a bit to orange for my taste.
And try to lower the saturation on the shadows more so that there not so bright (goes to the skin again the dress is fine).

but overall a great second try.

Thanks Bomu and thanks G.i.A.m for your comments.

The sketch was done with a 5h to start with but as I added colour I felt I needed to draken the lines.

Removed the lines altogether but - well - it was just wierd. The prob I have is that I got a Mac last year and my scanner don't want to know so I've got to scan through my sister's Pentium II 200MHz. Some reason it won't scan large.

G.i.A.m - as for the proportions, the sketch started off as a copy of some model, but I couldn't get her face right, so I anime'd it.

Oh Yeah - I lied. I found an older piece that vaguely remmber doing so CGgirl was my third.

Cheers again, hopefully if I'm motivated I'll get my site 'Original Wannabe' up and you can see some of my other work
