Hello everyone! Been lurking here for the last few days while finishing this up, trying to get some idea's/motivation, and viewing some exellent art work.

I chose somthing very simple, as I felt I was overdoing it with the amount of complexity that some of my other inhibitions produced, in relation to my current skill level/CG knowledge. Once I realized it was better to start off with somthing easy that I could do an on par jab with, I had much less of a struggle, although in all I spent over 10 hours at this, (is that considered alot?).
Would much appreciate any critique, but more for my future projects, as I am ready to move on and am done with this one.

nice job! I agree, the feet are too small, and so are the hands (but who am I to critique about that, eh? :whatever
Anyway, the shading looks a bit blurry tho.
Keep it up

Hi ya Friker!

I like the kinda perspective you've got going on with the mecha- looks big and powerful, and maybe even a little like Ultraman's evil meach twin ^_^ The colouring's pretty groovy too. Personally I'd say it's a little too simplistic in places, but since that'ds what you were going for, you obviously got it! But still, the guy's hiar looks like ice cream, or full of hair-moose, so even if you just defined the hair style a little more into something more plausable, I don't think it'd take too much away from the simplistic style you're going for.. Any of that make sense?

Just call me Keith how about I just put up the first name that came to mind, rather than wait until I could think up somthing better. Now that I chose that name, I kinda want to change it! not sure how though without re-registering (is that allowed?).

On topic, thanks for all the feedback! Now that I look at the feet I recall I was going to add a large heal, but forgot to draw it I guess. Physiques would dictate that robot would be lying on it's back right about now.
As for the hair, lets just say he put too much Gel in it or somthing . I gave the original sketch away, but I had some more detail built into the Mech that made it look much more machin like. It just took me so long to get there I just decided to get it over with and start on somthing new.

Right now im struggling with facial features, especially for female, and hair, (and bodyshape for female only), other than that im doing okay with everything else, but that is why I am biased twards mecha at the moment if your curious. I will probably do a real well thought out character next.

Sorry for talking my head off, Heres a Gundam I did a quik scetch/CG of, using a real life model as refference. If I try another I will try and do a unique pose, this image doesn't really have much depth, just detail.
