*is evil for direct linking*
I haven't gotten around to uploading this yet, so I'm linking right off the oekaki for now. I'll edit that later, when I get it uploaded.
Zato from Guilty Gear X...it's not all that great because I'm trying a new technique. His muscles are weird, but that's how they looked in the game, so I just went with it instead of trying to change it.

Even though I've wanted to, I've never had the chance to try out Guilty Gear, but this pic's great. I'm supprised you managed to get such a cool painted effect with oekaki- I still havn't been able to work thoe things out. Maybe the red thingy over his eyes stands out a little too much and a little desaturation might have worked better?

Thanks guys ^_^ That's the original size...300x400 is my favorite size for oekaki. Usually I work zoomed in, but for this one I wanted it to look a little looser so I stayed at regular magnification.
Bomu: this is actually a new technique for me...I watched the animation on some really good oekakis (cool feature if you haven't seen it...it records you as you draw!) and picked up some things...I just used watercolors at a fairly high opacity and built up the colors I wanted with smaller and smaller brushes. You're right about his red mask thing...I didn't spend as much time on it. =\
