The crit I have is that the shadow from the hair on the her face should not be so flat. It should curve as the face does.
Anyways, Nice work! I like the style

overall it looks realy good/cute and the colors are well chosen.
Only critics besides of the shadow animeOptical mententioned, I think that the lines are to scetchy (ink ) and especial the mechanic parts could greatly benifits from the use of a ruler.

I have a question on the shadow... How do you do it? lol. I know it's not a crit but I'd be thankful if someone would tell me.

aO - i see exactly what you mean. thanks dude.
GiAm - thank, man. yeah the lines are sketchy but this was one of my concept designs and i like them being sketchy. That's why the cg'ing is also pretty simple and not in too much detail. INK.....Maybe i fi find some decent pens in the UK i might try inking again but the truth is is that when i ink something it always looks worse than the pencil. I kinda like my pencils. Lead is good for you
CoolOtaku here's my best explanation.
i duplicated the lineart layer and brought it to the bottom of the stack. Then using the magic wand i selected all the white areas outside of the cg'd character. Then i inverted the selection so i now had only the character selected. I filled in the selection with a solid colour (so it looked like a siloette - er..or a shadow ). Then i used the free transform tool (in the edit menu) to make the shadow larger and to move it slightly to the right and down.

if you have inking problems then try to find those pens that have \reservoir/ in them that way you know that its almost every time the same amount of ink that comes out.

hey cool :3 I can never get the concept right for drawing merch parts but you've grasped this one with an iron grip! XB
If you don't like using Inks then you could try darkening the lineart with a softer lead and then go over the edge's with a eraser :3 you can cut it up to get into the tight spots X3 thus neaten things up a bit :3
I use the Dr Pigment ink pens (pilot drawing pens) you have to ink slowly and smoothly with this one :/ go to fast and it'll leave a dry bloted trail, cartridge paper is good for thoses.

Tuigi - i know i should practice but my lines (when inking) never come out smooth. They're always crinkly. And you defo notice them when they're scanned in.
Shirai - thanks. I should be good at mech stuff - i'm doing an Engineering degree.
things is i always have so many lines. And when i try to rub some out the others all smudge i know i should use a harder pencil but.....okay enough excuses. i'll keep trying.
