A random demon doodle I just submitted to deviant. It's not perfect, the chest is too flat, and the feet couldve done with a bit more TLC with a pencil, but nevermind, we live n learn.

Scarily cool, particularly the scythe. I've always been interested in those as weapons. Just how would someone use it in a fight against someone else? Could you do all the cool stuff u can do with swords? etc.
Hey neo, you think it's possible to turn this into a mecha? I might have a go myself (but I warn ya - I suck where mechas are concerned)

Lol. Dont be scared, I just love the old style weaponry in the same way Keichi Sonada could tell you the muzzle velocity, recoil, specs of modern weapons if you met him (Gunsmith Cats, Exxhation etc.). So here goes....

I dont really think the scythe has ever been used as a weapon. The japs have a sickle attached to an extended chain, that acts kinda like a flail, but no scythe I know of.

As a weapon, the scythe has an extended curved single cutting edge, this makes it a slashing weapon that could easily disembowel it's opponent. the stave, if made of iron, could be used to block with an uncertain degree of accuracy. At a distance, the scythe would have a huge advantage, especially against mounted enemies due to its curved blade and long reach kinda like a poleaxe or halberd. Practically any injury cased by the blade itself to the torso or head would be fatal.

Swords and sythes have nothing in common in terms of combat. Both require entirely different fighting styles and training (if any ever existed for the scythe). It's just a weapon thats synnonimous with the grim reaper, a.k.a. death, thats why it's popular.

As for this as a mech. Ill have a go, you may just have solved my biogear problem Angelo

lol it's not a problem m8, always here to help. Actually, that scythe may have inspired me to, in future, draw my own take on Death. Watch that space on the WIP/Finished Works section...
Seriously, if/when you make that biogear, stick it up ASAP. I'd be interested in seeing it.

That was from the POV of the sythe being an assault weapon i.e. with the bladed edge towards the opponent. As a farming tool, with the second handle below the blade it would be next to useless as the flat of the blade would be towards the enemy, and the curved blade would work against you in battle, curing towards you, meaning you would have to get much closer to do damage.

'NEO notices the funny looks people are giving him and shuts up'

Im gonna use this drawing as a basis for the biogear. Stay tuned.

Nice can't see anything wrong just that I noticed the mask has inked heavier that the rest of its body. Perhaps you could try that with the other parts of its body? :3

Armour/weapon could be defined more to seperate it from the flesh etc

You don't have to as its pretty good as it is look forward to it being coloured
