Firstly, you need to mention Bret Denslow created the line art Then I'd recommend checking out the CGing tutorials I have at: http://www.organicmetal.co.uk/techniques.htm Even by using my images as reference you'll be able to see how and where I've added darker and lighter tones in certain areas to give my line art form and a sense of depth.

I always found when u make the line art your self the CG works alot nicer because u have some basic idea of what the drawing is spos to look like(understand?) well i found this to be more usefull then useing other peoples line art. tho when i started very first time i used one of bomu's pics (and gave credit ) I good way to learn.
