the proportions and scale look generally fine. I'd say the little kid looks like she whould fall through her mothers(?) arms. She doesn't seem to be sitting on her arm. If you want her to be able to stay in that upright pos she needs to be pressed gainst the mother.

also think the shading needs to have more contrast. hope that help.
