Dude- this is fantastic! Definetly worth the time and effort eh? I remember when you first showed me just the head and I thought it was great. Then you showed me how you'd progressed to finishing the shoulder and arm (I think) and at that stage I secretly thought it looked better as just a head! But now it's all done, I can say it's probably the best pencil work ever posted on the OM forum!
If you want to better this next time, perhaps go for a more dynamic pose, and draw the hands, legs and possibly a BG

I didn't have a pose in mind, I didn't sketch anything, I did each section piece by piece and made it up as I went along. Next time I'll definately plan ahead! I still may add a background plus I may give him a banner and maybe a quiver on his back!

Ezekiel 25:17

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Totally unbelievable! I can’t visualize how you did that in pencil, how many times did you erase? You know when I draw with pencil its only one kind, #2. Again great work please keep it up. Also nice comic on your site I’ve been wanted to make a comic for ages I bet just those 2 pages took hours, wicked comic idea!

Everyone's allowed to have an opinion. However Sparko, use some tact if you don't like something. The way you've written your replies just makes you sound jellous and insulting.

Saying it looks no good without legs and hands is almost like saying the Mona Lisa is no good without feet! And arms too small? I don't know any Orcs personally, so I wouldn't know, but I beleive if you are creating a fictional creature, you are entitled to proportion it anyway you see fit.

Indeed Bomu, maybe sparko needs to get a pencil and some "paber" and draw us a pic better than what dan did to show us how the standard fictional orc looks like.

Great stuff Dan

Thanx for the support guys, who is he to tell me what my own design should look like, its not like I'm drawing a bus or something. If I we're drawing a bus you could moan that the tires might be the wrong size, but with a completely fictional creature! What the hell do you know!!! Plus the only reason it has no legs or hands is because I ran out of paper! Good enough reason for you! I'd love to see some of your work Sparko...really can't wait!

event ho he did word it like a little a55hole, the arms do look too thin, when u see an orc they usually have big bulky arms...to go with the rest of them being...bulky? BUT orks do come in all shapes and sizes, maybe he got goblin arms by accident another BUT i think its probably because of the traditional ridiculous amount of enourmous armour he's got on that makes the arms look small compared to that, but nothing id worry about ( not trying to back-up wheely-chair target btw )
oh yea and, maybe its just me, but the way orcs are...don't they all look constipated?

This is just GREAT! I've seen this before even when it was unfinished. You can see all the hard fine detail every nuck, dent, bend, fold, and shine.

I love the face, pose is nice. There is nothing wrong with the arm size and they aren't thin..
(don't forget the breastplate is huge and well rounded I forget the name).
Some of you really need to think about the full picture and what's not broad.

Drawing is a open thought and you should think about what lyes beyond that you see.
"If you don't understand something you might just be missing the picture".

I imagine he is holding some huge weight possbly a halberd .
Even yet I may be wrong and he just got his leg chopped off you'll never know

Yeah orcs do really look constipated
Very well done, I would do as others say and submit it.

Kickass orc, Roar! RRAahh me good, zug zug.. long time.
