Giam posted a similar thread years ago and it'd be cool to start it up again.

The idea is to simply post your quick creations in this thread, whether they be pencil doodles, MS paint art or a speed painting via graphics software. The rule is, your picture can't take more than an hour each. Preferably they'll take a lot less.

The reason for this is just to get us all drawing. I'm sure if half the members could post in this thread at least once a week, it'd not only become a cool little scrap archive, but be fun to do while practicing drawing speed and techniques!

I'll start off with a quick 12 minute tablet doodle I did for this thread:

^_^ sounds like a good time, I might try one when I come back from my trip to regina(a.k.a the big city) today.

I'll make sure to bring u all presents. Well maby not since all I got is a 25 cents so thats not really going to buy us all much lol ^_^ sry maby next time.

Discovered that if I try and draw something normal with a mouse it looks like a 5 year old did it, so I tried to do a graff tag, and it still came out garbage lol, might stick to pencil sketches in the future

Good stuff Jats! Mice probably aren't the best tool for freehand computer art, but u did a good job!

My pic of today is another weird one based on eggs!

Good stuff guys.

Giam, I know what you mean, I hadn't drawn anything for ages, so am way outta practice. But this sort of stuff I can do since you don't have to worry about it looking good- probably one of the biggest issues I have with my art.

Erock- nice frog- I used to have a kid's 4 piece puzzle that looked just like that when I was younger!

For today's pic, I based the main figure on Giam's missing persons milk carton pic...

Not sure how long it took. Probably about 20-30 mins

The link you attached is a html page- You can link to it by clicking the "URL" button on the reply page, like THIS

If you want to attach an image, you have to place an image file linked from the web in the (img) tags.

However, In this thread, I'd recommend not attaching images larger than around 800x800 pixels and no bigger than 300-400KB in file size. If there's a lot of large file sized pics in the same thread, it's not fair on people with slow internet speeds as it takes ages for pages to download. So please just supply external links to images if your pic is above these specifications. Cheers.

RapCloudStrife, yeah, good stuff, very appropriate for this time of year!

My pic for today day is inspired by one of the most amazing things I've seen on TV this year- an international Breakdancing/B-boying event held somewhere in Europe. Seeing such high quality moves really blew me away!

... thats strange I was just drawing a break dancing robot. very odd we both had break danceing in r mind and drew it. If I finsh it I'll post it my drawing looks kinda funny. but then agian am trying a new style of drawing.

well I dished out some over the weekend

first a graffiti thingi done in MS Paint around 10min

then some happypants made with psp9 around 12 min

a robot, I guess.
made the mistake to be zoomed out most of the time around 15min

and the last one took 25 min.

Had some serious graphic diaorhea in the last few days

heres some nonsense I doodled while watching tv, it sort of says 'James' (my name)

Heres a Spidiraffe

Strange mech and angry anime kid

Cerberus and a hot chick that was in this french play I saw the other day

Some strange things that were in this sci fi book I was reading called 'the vacuum digrams' (as I imagined them)

Some anatomy study/doodling I did (yup Bomu its Hogarth again ;p)

Good stuff guys, I wont attempt to comment on all of them. But it is interesting to check out the time taken along with the picture itself.
I will say- Happypants is a quite disturbing image! lol- it's probably not supposed to be!
vacuum digrams: the last one looks like something out of the movie "Aliens" I just came back from the cinema and saw AVP!

Today's pic was a quick 14 min doodle before bed. Really tired today for some reason, so promise to do something half decent tomorrow

oh, and this is partially off topic (Im a bit drunk), but the last one from vacuum diagrams is a spiderlike species that lay their eggs in pluto (very cold) where they unusually contain water, and at the planet's apthelion (hot period of orbit) nitrogen on pluto melts to gas, and allows them to shoot webs to Charon (pluto's moon/planet brother) and climb up them, as charon is rich in water, and they can grow their bodies, and then they fall back to pluto and repeat the cycle (as pluto has other elements they require in their biochemistry). Very boring to those that don't like sci fi/ but I thought very interesting as a hard physics, fictional hypothesis. (wierd I know, but I thought it was a nicely rounded little idea)

Bomu If you drool that much after 10 minutes you must have to swim to the bathroom after a good nights sleep lol.

I dont know much about pluto's orbit, only thats its very long and is shaped like an ecplispe. Those spiders must lay dormant and then when born live for a hell of a ling time! Then again it would be twice a year in pluto time. How fast does the planet rotate? (sorry my termanology and understnading aren't up to scratch

)

Jats, I also find the facts in sci-fi interesting- It's hard to get into sci-fi unless there's alot of fact involved, even if it's realistic, but fake facts!

Zankouken, For some reason the drool knows to just seep into the pillo a bit to annoy me then it stops! Have you ever allowed the animation feature on when doing an oekaki? It's really cool watching afterwards from how the drawing started out.

My first pic was a quick 15 minute thing to try adding a few textures. Kinda influenced from the game Silent Hill:

Looks terrible! but meh

For my second pic, I wanted to place the bar a little higher so spent a little more time.. Not sure how much time, but under an hour:

Photoshop 7, 2 layers.

Inspired by dreams- I never really thought of drawing anything from my dreams, but it's a good idea! Although I wouldn't wanna post a pic of last night's dream since I'm sure not everyone here is over 18!

I'm talkin' down town! hehe

I like the wolf a lot! Yeah, I can see problems /w the wolf's feet, but it's only supposed to be a quick sketch. The robot's also cool, but isn't his left foot the wrong way around?
