Cool stuff!

I like the secound one more tho. the 1st one seems a little midgit/cartoony . not to be mean just does. other then that great stuff.

The 2nd one is pretty funky, and the first one looks a hell of a lot like you (then again, who am I to talk, with a tall, grey-haired, sword-wielding alter ego?). The colouring style is pretty awesome, how'd u do it?

dude there are way too many rules for that contest. i dont even have the program they want to draw the pic, you have to be 18 or younger and im 20, and if you do win you will sign the rights you have away for that character. and you cant have like chains and long belts wtf, do you think the character creaters from final fantasy said ok yuna you cant have all that shit on you because i cant program it into the computer, bull shit thats the most wonderfun thing about computers is that nothing is impossible so fuck that contest!!! i'll have my pic done tomorrow but i'll do it in photoshop haha.

well thanks guys, I think I like the second one better myself.
The technic is rather simple Angelo I made a sketch and after I was satisfied with it, I made a new layer.
Filled in some flat colors, and then added dark shadows, then I picked a color between the base and shadowcolors and blended the both with the new color, and then repeated this step over and over till I thought its ok looking.

Erock maybe calm down a bit and reread the rules couse it seems you got quite a bit wrong, but the contest finishes in a couple of hours anyways.

oh and I doubt I will make it too many talented people in the gallery .

lol just joking about that, sorry to seem over the top about the contest but it just seemed like there were too many limatatioins regarding character design and entry rules. I still made a character and i plan on drawing it and posting it soon. OOOH CRAP IT ENDED NOOOOOOOOO!!...lol

I didn't sign up the read the contest rules, as it's over, but it sounded a lot like something that was mentioned on a Deviantart forum a few months back. Might have been the same thing?

yup propably was the same Bomu made the news on several artpages. Well right now its voting time the results will be in propably somewhere next week. but I doubt I'll make it into the top 10 finalist. I've seen most of the other entries and after that I would rate my work lower midfield, which isnt enough .... oh well atleast I have a better grasp on what to improve now. And maybe there will be a contest next year^^.
