and I was really scrawny and crappy yet everyone said I was good?

I got a promotion!
I just want people to know how I'm doing, I'm sure some of the older members remember this picture from new years of 2004.

Compare + Contrast
That would be nice if somebody has a Deviant Art account too from here, I'd add you guys! I miss being here, just wish we had some sort of activity... Not like months of inactivity. It's uncanny how dedicated we are to this site though.

Hey Yuki, quite lovely looking stuff your touching on now. Lol, I wouldn't know of anyone downing on you as being bad or good, nice to see your finally taking your own views from life down in paper.

Looks like your taking on a more uhmm, seduced play in art. I remember thumbing over your favs long ago, wasn't expecting a ton of sultry eroticish art in to it lol caught my attention. But, hey mostly all the well off drawers do it at some point.

Well, most of all on here do have DevArt accounts at some point. I'm sort of busy but I'm well aware their is roughly 12 I think I got marked and their is probably 30ish or more that have accounts from here. It's becoming a little hard now a days to not have one if you are an maker or just an appreciator. I've always stricken you more as a Traditional oil pastel based going into acrylics type girl. I guess you didn't like the buzz of going to an Art School or something not sure I thought you had some plans about it tho.

Looks to me like your in process of the lines of playing between J-Pop/Witch Hunters to Fantasy Lingering Lasses. Whoa, quite on the edge of cool stuff you got underways tad wacky grasp you have but I think it's cool.

That's pretty much the take on the EastCoast, you could really get taken into some art area off it. But if you really want to jump in the Art Fray YukiH I'd suggest you get into the Schools on the WestCoast CA has the best schools for really taking your progression further in the USA. The crowd and vibe their is really all aimed well for and trending to what I think you might want.

My own personal findings on you I think, you might want to study flowers lol.. Oh boy, (don't laugh at me too much now) Their is some really great intriguing mixes of flowers you can see some really great examples in fine traditional paint works. It should help you get, more relaxed bits of an jaw dropping silhouette to a more raw take of your gest in pieces if your breaking out from Anime touch. I think this could give you a pop on how to go into Fine Blasting Color bounds with a more seduction of sultry if you want to try that. Only some of the top guns of Anime type seem to use these renditions, from what I've now seen so far new from you; you'd be perfect candidate for trying that in your own .

Hey, thank you... I'm seriously considering paints, it's been hard to force myself into it so I'm not really rushing but I'll take your advice on the flowers thing.

@the art class/school thing: Yes, ultimately I never bothered to take an art class especially seeing people telling newbies to learn the rules before breaking it (specifically: anatomy, proportion, realism... an art class). I believe a lot of beginners feel as if they cannot learn/start without these things and that's not true.

I had a friend of mine disagree with me but it's something I've observed. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of beginners hold off practicing until they're enrolled in a class.

*Scratches Head* Well, mostly my understanding everything in art is a curve of luck.. It's bad when you think it's good and good when it's bad from your own doings...

The best way to really learning is from disaster and failure.. People that say "Rules" really are just putting themselves up for failure really or some really dreaded low position honestly... But to each his own whatever turns one on.

Lol, never ran into a good Art Teacher here never gave a hint "figure it out yourself approach" and it's not cause they suck.. Purely, only way your going to learn if you really want to learn. Can't teach a donkey to stfu till the Donkey knows how to start standing pretty much.

Hah, I too have been pushed by several peeps to using Paints.. I'm like NO, I don't screaw with them or got the time.. Wouldn't mind trying not my thing. Guess, it's a due to family trait being really good in it. Lol, paints are really expensive but a truly great way to make MONEY off rich bastards enough said..

But, on the off side I find their is some really freaking rad cool paintings used in a new fashion by some radical people now.. I think it's going to phase back into Society specially over here sometime in the next years, if it catches on wind.

Example, most won't buy ANIME stuff even if they love if it's original just what they can Relate in even if they FANTASIZE over you lol.. But, if you Matte the bitch and deck it up with Oil Pastels.. people tend to drool over those things it's got Depth it's got "Character" if you wish to be all stalker like and call it that lol. It's got a tale on it's own an element of life that's why fags/rich/assholes/whores people in general like things.. So, it's up to you how you want to setup your Candy Shop for ART.. that's tricky and that's what most art goers don't understand you got to work what people rotate around a little regardless of your own tale/sex/lubrication lol.

However, it's totally fun at it's points. Hopefully, that wasn't too vulgar for anyone on this board and if so.. please stop trying

I doubt many people will catch what you say on this board... Pretty dead, I wasn't expecting a response for a long time.

One day I'll paint, just not today...
Some people can be linked to that donkey but there are other people out there who show dedication but do not get the right help or tools.
Some people know what to look for while other's don't.
Paints are costly... depending on how much a person paints.

You're right, anime isn't seen as anything too great, the real talents are in paints or pastels... colored pencils anything with more depth and usually more realistic.
