Does anyone know of any other ongoing internet art competitions like MVGC? i see all these people with neat badges and stuff from art comps but i don't know where to look to get me a piece of some...

There's the MAG, which is quite popular. It's sort of a fan art contest where you draw the previous month's winner's characters. And oh jolly, I forgot the address to it ;_;

Good question. I'm sure there's tons of cool comps going around.

Monthly Anime Gaijin as Bugsy remembered is pretty cool. I've entered about 4 times. I came 2nd in creativity with my Thinbee submission, but neve won it! http://animegrafx.com/MAG/

There's the Team anime 2K Monthly artist at: http://www.teamanime2k.org/artists/contest.cfm - I dunno if it's still going..

If you're into 3D then 3d Total forum: http://www.threedy.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=9 They sometimes have 2D concept sketch comps, so it's worth a look.

Anyone know of any recent contests? The teamanime2k appears to have a new one up, but I havent really been able to find much else that interests me.

I got an idea for that one but can't put it on paper (need to re-think my overall design or whatever blah!!!)

Well there sometimes a drawing comp going on over at the 3D total forums. I guess every forum has at least one competition going t any one time

Ok, so it's a 3D comp, but the members are all pretty cool and the contest's 'works in progress' threads are great since you can check out everyone's sketches for each individual contest and I feel people are more interested in giving feedback on your stuff, since everyone's working towards the same goal.

If you're into Final Fantasy, you could check out the forum contest located in art 101 at Shinra Online

EDIT: Oh I already mentioned 3DT? Doh!

Capcom is currently running a fanart contest... the prize isnt much (just a t-shirt) but hey its Capcom c'mon!!!
