i have applied the flat colors on this and i was wondering if anyone could put the shadows, hilights and redering on this pic

Well you could always use yourself for reference - get a mirror in your room, turn off the lights and bring in a lamp- move the lamp around the room and you'll notice shadows are cast where light doesn't reach - so copy what you see in the mirror! Do excercises like these and things begine the make sens and you get an understanding for it
