When there's nothing else to draw, I draw scantily-clad women... ..

.. to work on my anatomy...

teeveee.... and really heavily stylised things, that I think are cool. Like Romeo and Juliet (the film) - cause tho I HATE Leo D'Twateo, I loved that film for it's costumes and crazy looking characters (and I love Shakespeare, too). Fifth Element was a good one, for the same reasons... and Farscape's a good one, too, for their really unusual alien character designs...

Other people's art can be very inspiring... but often difficult to find really good stuff... this link inspired me to get out of a hideous slump! So you might find it helpful! (you'll probably also see massive influences from this in my recent work...)

http://falcoon.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

or try this if you don't find enough images there. Lots of good poses and crazy costumes...

ttp://falcoon.hp.infoseek.co.jp/images/

(hmm, hope those links work. stole 'em off another board).

anyhow, yes. If I think of anything else, I shall return and annoy...

when it comes to fanart and i cant seem to make any. . i go online and stare at all the other fanart, and i stare at pro manga art, so it makes me jealous ^o^ and then i attempt it. . and fail. . but hey i did the fanart

for my original work, its harder. if i find myself in an artist block, i cant do anything to get myself out of it, so i resort to fanart to keep myself busy

when im out of my block i look at nature to get myself inspire, or other paintings

music is odd O_o sometimes it inspires, and sometimes it distracts me

but i find switching from original to fanart is helpful! ^_^ when i cant do one i do the other

Usually all it takes for me is some electric guitar music or a nice violent marvel/anime/tv to watch.

Music is a big help.

Also just events or things that happen to me during the day, something funny, something sad, something crazy.

Movies are also a big influence, especially older movies and classic film stars like Audrey Hepburn, etc.

hard to say I mostly let my thought just wander around and wait that the good stuff comes to my mind.
Looking through art forums and online gallery's is a good thing to do too.
But I wouldnt say that it push me to do similar good work rather than, that it inspire's me.

Music ofcourse can help to but I mainly have it on to blend out the horried sound my comp makes.

Hard to explain what inspires me, ideas just pop into my head all the time, I have plenty of ideas, not enough time to draw them all though

I never really get inspired by music, I play guitar, I keep music and art seperate, never felt I needed to cross them over at all!

I discovered a new method recently with this story ive started with Dan. Simply think to yourself 'whats cool?' think of a car chase, a gun battle or something that fits with what you want to create as if it were on tv. The visual grammar has been much easier for me since I started this. Im not sure I explained that very well...

I usually find some reaaaaaly good art, and it inspires me to be better, music is good, listen to something hard like disturbed, or some angry rap like eminem, that usually inspires me to a new level.

The holes are there for your minds eye to fill in. Take it one step further. Whats a cool outfit, whats a cool car. Scribble the first thing that pops into your minds eye and then develop on it. Kind of like a quick draw minus the 6 shooter. I dont think I explained that very well either. I may just be going slowly mad, tortured and derranged by daytime tv brainwashing.
