I'm looking to start taking commissions for people, but not quite sure where to 'advertise' as it were. My own website doesn't exactly get the traffic to warrant posting there exclusively, although if there is interest I'll set up some sort of commisions page. Does anyone reading this have any suggestions or ideas?

mmmm let's do some definations

suggest:To bring or call to mind by logic or association

train: To focus on or aim at (a goal, mark, or target)

also it is not spos to be specific it just means your not good enough yet so PRACTICE on everything till your better at all the skills.

Selling art is tough...
I wanted to do an experiment to see how much I could sell a piece of my original work for on eBay. I presented a great little auction, packed with positive key words etc, but in the end, the art sold for just $11.50! I must have spent about 3 hours on the line art and 5 hours with my colouring pencils, so I feel a bit sad to let it go. Especially when I can produced commissions for at least $100 for more or less the same amount of work. However, it was just a tester to see how much I could potentially make, to see if it would be worth selling art on eBay regularly, And it was good practice- I hadn't used pencils for years!

So, if you can produce work as good as or better than mine and would be happy with just a few bucks for your time, go on eBay! but if you want to make it worth your while, try asking around to see if people want to commission you- either for a private piece, or for a small company. And sometimes, when you start advertising, things can really take off and individuals and companies will start asking you for lots of work
