Wow... Photoshop 5 Limited Edition... that's pretty ancient stuff you got there, I used that when I was still in highschool

Seriously though, I highly recommend getting a newer version of Photoshop, as I recall, it's called Limited Edition not because it's "Special" like a collectors set, it's called "limited" because it is well... limited, and at version 5, I think it bit the extinction meteor quite a while ago...

But eh, I guess $850 is quite the chunk of change (I'd still rather use the lastest version of the free GIMP compared to that dinosaur though)... so you have to play your cards.

After Photoshop 5 LE or 6 LE, they transformed the LE series into the "Photoshop Elements" series (Think it's up to 3.0), but anyhoo... you might have better luck looking for a newer stripped down version of PS in that category...

Did they even have layers in PS 5 LE? If they don't, then that's the royal screw right there. If they do, you might be able to wheel yourself out one way or another following some variation of the tutorials here or another. I used PS 5 LE quite a bit in my early days, but I can't remember a thing about it myself.

Anyway, since PS 5 LE is so old right now, there are very few still relavent tutorials on the internet these days... you'd have an easier time finding a book for $5 in the bargain bin at your local bookstore than finding a relavent tutorial online. Heck... I think PS 5 LE was created around 1998 or so, so even then, the internet wasn't remotely as widely used as it is today.

Hmmm... these are the only link I could find for the time being that are remotely relavent:
http://www.botany.hawaii.edu/faculty/webb/BOT410/PhotoShopTutorFinal/PSdefault.htm
http://www.danbury.k12.ct.us/Elemweb/createweb/pdfiles/photoshop.pdf

And I don't know if they'll be useful... but good luck just the same.

Sorry for the spam ben, THIS IS FOR SABER! I fugured out how to CG on it! you right click on the background layer and select duplicate, then delete the bottom background layer and rename the "copy of background" to outline. then on the outline, go to the little thingy on the to of the pallette that should say "normal". drop it down and select "multiply". now make a layer underneath called skin (or whatever your coloring first) and you should be able to color underneath the lineart!
