Im not trying to brag or any thing but i do consider myself to be a professional character designer. Its kind of sucks because all my best drawings are of characters ive created and i believe that they are so good that if i posted them some one would copy and steal them. I even set a goal for myself to create the next spider-man and this year i believe i nailed it. Again im not just trying to boast about myself but if you ever wonder why i dont post alot of art on the fourm now you know why. When i do get some thing published then you'll see what im talking about. I also know that even if i posted my own art work it is some what protected and copy writed but i still just dont want to do it. sorry guys

Good thing you have confidence in your work A lot of artists are missing that surprisingly often. You might find the use of watermarks beneficial in that case, although there are quite a few other legal methods of protecting your work that most online artist guides should be familiar with. Of course, a lot of big corporations also have an equally ingenius team of lawyers that can help legally rip off any idea they want from small artists without proper protection, so it never hurts to at least be a little cautious of display of your work.

Go easy on the paranoia, mate If you can prove it's yours, you're protected from theft. If you rrrreally want to be sure, put the psd on a cd and mail it to yourself, while not opening the envelope Musicians such as me have been doing it since forever

Ah, it's fairly easy. Just go to the post office, have the cd sent registered to you (so you have to sign personally on arrival). Then just never open the cd envelope. I'm not sure how it works where you live, but here in Belgium the date on the stamp is legal evidence, so you can prove you wrote it first

I know, from seeing someone else's site, that putting a signature might work as well. Dunno if it's as effective as Bugsy's method though

You know after reading all of your posts. I looked back at some of my characters and i did see that some of them actually needed to worked out in detail a little more. Im going to work at it harder and maybe if i can draw a pic that im very happy with i'll post one. Thanks guys.

Ok maybe you might have seen these before but the first one all i had to work with was a brown haired guy with a red shirt and black pants. The second link is a character i created for void but i never realy did the whole void thing. Are you still going to do it Jats?

Ezekiel 25:17

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Now, is it your actual artwork that you're fond of, or your concepts that you're worried about?
