* Draw a self portrait or representation of yourself for an Organic Metal desktop wallpaper.

* Can be in colour or black & white

* No need to draw a background for your pic- keep it white only.

* Try to scan at a higher resolution to maintain quality.

* I'll put the images together at the end, so submit your pic as a Jpeg or Photoshop file to me

* Submissions should be in by the end of August 2005

* I guess putting in a light source from the right might be an idea. No worries if it's not.

* Don't worry about keeping the art style the same. In fact, different styles from different members should probably be encouraged to add a personal touch to your picture..

* Remember, it's only a bit of fun, so no need to go overboard on making it the best illustration of your life! I imagine I wont spend more than an hour or two on my pic but obviously, a 5 minute sketch on toilet paper isn't encouraged.

Feel free to post your submissions in this thread...

good luck

Ezekiel 25:17

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

- Me neither!

Here's my contribution- scruffy around the edges and only took about 2 and a half hours, but it'll do the trick

Cool, I'm in as well. In Canada atm, so won't be able to scan anything in, but should hopefully be able to make that august deadline. BTW nice work on that one, looks like someone I wouldn't want to cross in a dark alley Pic looks a little degraded, file quality perhaps?

Here is mine, although I'm having some problems with the colour quality when I resize it. Its not something that had ever happened before to my pictures, do you guys have any idea what it is that I am doing wrong?

Nice one Zankouken !

By colour quality, do you mean the blotchyness- mainly on the reds? It looks like it's due to heavy Jpeg compression. If you can save at a higher quality level with less compression with your graphics software, that should fix it.

Cheers Bomu, yours is cool aswell.
You hit the nail right on the head, I will give the compression thing a try. Heres hoping

edit: Sorted it out now, thanks again Bomu, but the size of the file is over twice what it used to be (I know I could compress it more but I like my colours to be crisp) so if any one could give me some feedback on load times it would be much appreciated.

It shouldn't take more than about an hour or so to paste the entries together. Just depends if I get around to it any time soon I'll aim have it done by the end of the first week of September.

It doesn't need to be cg'ed NZ MAtt. Infact if some one did help you it wouldn't realy be a self representation.
I wouldn't mind having the dead-line extended a week or two but its up to Bomu. If it was me who had to put all the pictures together and I kept extending the deadline it would never get done.
