I've bin fiddling with my site and others again. You know when you use tables in Html to 'rebuild' and picture which is made of various pics? how do you do it so you don't get lines in between the various sections?

i've tried everyting i know and can finmd but to no avail i still get lines sometimes bteween sections.

I think he means on a new site design he is workin on

but I don't know how to help you on this (don't know html) either.

Normaly tho when I run into problems like that.
I take the side in a txt editor and play around with the values, till it does whatI want.

Ups should read your post better.

So I checked your side and no white lines for me.
Propably it is Browser missdisplaying (had the prob with netscape some years ago).

I used to have this same problem- either there was a small gap inbetween or the pics weren't exactly lined up properly. Gahh, what version (dark or light) are you haveing problems with? Maybe a screen capture and highlight the area which is going wrong 'cos I can't see any problems

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place? Remember to set the table boarder properties to "0" I think the default might be "1", so that could be causing you problems? Or do what I do now and use a biut of kit called Fireworks - really easy program to do image slices and stuff (www.macromedia.com)

okay i'm completely reworking my site from scratch and Internet Explorer on the PC is giving me huge problems.

if anyone has the time could you please got to :akatt.co.uk click on the enter button and tell me if you see the main page. i'm using frames but they aren't working on the PC but it's all happy on my Mac and i can't see the fault.

Hmmm I wouldn't use frames on a webspace provider that uses on-page ads :/

about the table spacing problem, I think you just need to include some attributes to the table tag, like this:
{TABLE BORDER=0 CELLPADDING=0 CELLSPACING=0}
but with < and > brackets of course

uhm I can see the page,
but the ad banners are in the way of the navbar and pretty much destroy the layout.

okay, thanks guys looks like frames may be saying byebye. GiAm does Opera allow you to see iframes?

never heard of them before.

but I checked it and it is supported since Opera5.

So aslong as the code is clean and error free, there should be no problem.

okay -my entire site design depended on frames (cos i didn't want people continually reloading the menu bar so i've managed to nab some space from my mother's BT webspace (no banners and all) and if you check it out now all should be well (tho the scrollbar colours are not sorted yet)>
