Basically what I'm doing right now, is working on a small, non-market comic called "Demon Heart", which I'll eventually turn into a manga. I'm hoing to initially make 26+ installments of some flash animations, set to a storyline which I'm currently working on. This comic is a VERY BIG project though, and will take some time before it is done. In addition...I'M OUT OF IDEAS! So here's the scoop!

I'm hosting CHARACTER CREATION CONTEST! All you have to do is post a simple (1) artwork of a character of your design based upon the genres below, a short story for the character, and some character specs. The top 3 favorite characters will earn a place in "THE LEGEND OF THE BIO CHAOS" Comic, a picture of their character done by me, a wallpaper of their character in the Bio Chaos Style, An animated mugshot GIF, an animated mugshot sprite-sheet, and later on, a custom made sprite sheet. (Like the Megaman games.)

Note:
This is not a race; the contest will end on Halloween.
This is not an art contest; I'm not looking for masterpieces, just cool characters.
Pictures do need to be in color, and need to display what your character looks like.

CHARACTER CLASSES:
Dark: The dark class consists of 5 different types of demons. These demons ALL have bat-like wings protruding from their backs (with 1 exception), fangs, red eyes, and usually tattered clothing. The different classes are:
Blue-These are the babies. They are small and weak, and no older than 10.
Red-The majority of all Demons. They can change to the color red, which makes them stronger for a little while.
Black-The strongest of the regular class of demons. Usually, not immensely large, but always well built, like a fighter. They have the abitlity to morph into a DEVIL 0 mode, in which they have large horns protruding from their skin, 4 wings on their backs, a devil tail, Black or grey skin, and enourmous muscles.
Silver-The second most powerful of the regular demons, they are basically a Black Demon with mechanical parts. They can also go DEVIL 0
Shade-Have you ever seen Princess Mononoke? Shade demons are made up of millions of small black worm-like strands of hatred. They can condense this into a physical form, making them look human. They have no wings.

Genochs: These are the strong arms. Never a pinch of flab, these bio-Weapons were designed to closely resemble humans, except stronger. Each NORMAL genoch has the physical capacity to wipe out an entire army of soldiers in mere seconds. Imagine the androids from DBZ. These guys are similar to them, except not so freaky. If anything, they have very energetic personalities that resemble those found in anime. Genochs have a Black mark around or below their right eye, and a white mark around or below the left. Be creative.

Ancient: Anything mythological, or from ancient China. These people rely upon their weapons, and immortality. Gallantly dressed, or scantily dressed, a good example for what I'm looking for is found at

These are all characters from the manga "Houshin Engi" and Ancient class should resemble these types of characters.

More Ancient Style Characters

Light: The most open class. These are the good guys, light skin, happy faces, and big eyes. The picture Ben did of Blaze would fall into this category. Nice and angelic.

Bio Chaos: These guys are really strange. The Bio Chaos category, is really hard to define. A Bio chaos is like a plant like creature, who's entire goal is sensless destruction. Well not completely sensless. They follow the orders of Dr. Anthony Gerto, a mad scientist, villian, type guy. (No relation to DBZ) He also makes humanoid robots which he controls as well. The Bio Chaos Are NEVER exactly the same, which gives you artists a lot of freedom. The picture I have Includes 2 Bio Chaos, and one of the Robots.

THE WORLD OF DEMON HEART:

THE DEMON WORLD:
This is the world of darkness where all the demons, and monsters live. It is completely barren with very little light and a VAST amount of empty space. Imagine a T-shirt that a person is wearing. A white T-shirt. Now pretend that white T-shirt is the Light universe. Now take that T-shirt and flip it inside out. This side of the T-shirt is black. That’s where the demon world is in comparison to the light universe. The entire demon world rests in an alternate dimension, sort of like the inside of a sphere so large, it would take an eternity traveling at warp speed, to cover the entire thing. It essentially looks like an endless environment, with a purple sky, and an enormous red moon, which lights the entire realm. The ground in the demon world, instead of having grass, has needles. These needles, every five minutes or so move very quickly to another location, sort of like a giant blender. If someone is walking along the ground when they move, that someone is sure to die. This is the reason demons have wings. However, mountains and caves dot the landscape, and it is on these rocky surfaces that demons live. They have no technology, no light, and no viable source of food or water. This is the reason why I mentioned that demons most often do not wear clothing. Kaison entered the demon world for the first time with clothing on, and to this day he still wears it. Belial got clothing from a sweet little old lady on one of his trips to the light world. Occasionally, small portals will open up allowing the demons passage to the light universe. Once a demon passes through a portal, he or she is connected to that portal and it will not close until they have returned. As demons do not enjoy light however, the usually ignore such portals. On occasion though, demons will travel through one of these portals and run amok. They may steal supplies, clothing, or technology, but most often, they come to eat. Demons feast of the hearts of mortal man. It is considered a delicacy to their kind, and they often wonder why people find it grotesque.

THE HOSPITAL:
This is the place where Koshiro and Sai were first born. The hospital is a place in the light world, hidden away from society. It looks like a hospital on the outside, but inside it is an incredibly dangerous science facility overrun with mad scientists. It is here that Dr. Gerto (one of the bad guys) lived and worked before he was exiled. It is here that Sacres (one of the bad girls) helped with the Koshiro Project. The hospital resides on planet Zona, a happy peaceful planet much like earth. The hospital’s top floors resemble a barren asylum on a cliff above a forest. However, below the hospital inside of the cliff is where the real action is. 1000+ floors of scientific genius at it’s peak. You name it and the have it. One of their best-kept secrets is a stabilized portal into the demon world. Which they maintained by simply having Koshiro in the light world. The portal was closed however, when Koshiro escaped. Surrounding the hospital, in the forest, is a large network of caves filled with giant man-eating spiders. These insects are there for the soul purpose of defending the hospital, and frightening off would-be intruders.

THE LIGHT WORLD:
Little can be said about the light world that you don’t already know. It is essentially where we live, and where you are as you read this. Some of the events that take place occur in ancient china. So, if you’ve ever seen the anime Soul Hunter/Houshin Engi, you know what it’s like. Most of the action in occurs however, on one of the following planets:
1. VENUS: Koshiro was imprisoned here, and it is here that the story begins. It is a large forest planet, with lots of scary plants and animals.
2. KANGAN: Most of the portals to the demon world open up here. It is a dark barren planet with few creatures on it. The soil is made of black lava rock, and black sand. Several volcanoes dot this tiny planet’s landscape.
3. GUNMOG: This is the planet of Genochs. Read the Genoch section for more info.
4. ZONA: Much like earth. Not much more to say.
5. FREEJIA: This is a strange planet, with beautiful waters, completely unpolluted skies, a perfectly clean and healthy planet, with an ENORMOUS slave trade.
6. ARLIA: This is the seedy, western movie planet. Bars, guns, and pirates flock here.
7. KORAN: This is the holy planet. The Grand Father lives here. (Essentially, the pope of the universe.)

(I had an RPG once with my friends, and when they visited Koran, the Grand Father was Vegeta from DBZ. Pope Jon Vegeta II. And he always went around saying “Where are my rose petals?!” and if people did not toss them, he would blow them up.)

THE PLANET GUNMOG:
This is the planet of Genochs. Genochs are like humans, with super-advanced cells. Have you ever seen Generator Gawl? Same principle. Genochs live in “cloud towers” which are essentially these big floating towers in the sky. The Genoch world would fit well with a Final Fantasy game. The inhabitants live above, while the rebellious Genochs live below the clouds on the planet’s surface. The planet itself is a horrible, unlivable environment. Tremendous storms of acid rain constantly bombard the planet. Wind howls, and garbage is everywhere. Cloud towers eject their garbage onto the planet, keeping the cloud towers tidy. The cloud towers are like hotels or shopping malls. Beautiful perfectly clean windows and robots called Genspawn darting everywhere to do chores. A lot of experiments go on here, and a lot of science. Everything is high tech, almost like Star Wars. No aliens though, only Genochs and Genspawn. Genspawn are biological drones with the single-minded purpose of labor. Like boomers from Bubblegum Crisis. Genspawn all have small chips implanted in the backs of their necks, which keep them under complete control. Should the chips be removed, they release a poison into the Genspawn’s body, and the Genspawn will die. And then one of 2 things will happen: 1) the Genspawn’s body is ejected from the tower like garbage, 2) the Genspawn is processed, and used as nutrients to create food, or more Genochs, or more Genspawn. Though Genochs live in a very peaceful world, is a cruel and destructive race, even if their actions are unintentional. The golden rule for the Genoch world is only the strong survive. If a Genoch is too weak, their core will be crushed, and the person who crushed it will become stronger. Of course, if a Genoch’s power source is fact destroyed, the Genoch will die. I have MUCH more information on this fascinating species, but this description is getting too long already.

CHARACTER WARDROBE:

Demons: Little to no clothing. It's up to you. I you want em nude, go ahead. But remember that KIDS may be seeing the comic so nothing too obscene.
Shade Demons. Colored torso, White sleeves, turquoise bands of cloth from the wrist of the sleeve, to the tricep of the sleeve. Baggy pants. You may have noticed, but in the Dark class picture "Belial" is dressed up like a Shade Demon. Usualle he struts around with wearing nothing but mama's blessings. However, he likes Koshiro a lot, and thusly is trying to dress up like him.
Genochs: Something that befits their body. If they have nice boobs, show some cleavage. If they have nice abs, show em off. If they're a skinny scientist dweeb, you get the picture.
Ancient: Either Scantily Clad, or Gallantly Clad. Nothing in between.
Bio Chaos: Uhhhhhhhh, that would be kind of funny seeing a blobbish plant creature with blue jeans, but if you insist.
Light: Stick to a color scheme. The ones I have are White, Green, Blue, and Red.

Weapons: Go ahead. 6 of my characters have weapons, so Why shouldn't yours?

Someone asked me via e-mail if it is ok to post more than one character for this contest. I would normally say no, but because I need all the support that I can, I'm going to go against everything I believe about contests and say yes.
HOWEVER!

1. No more than 2 characters, and they CANNOT be of the same class.
2. YOU CANNOT AND WILL NOT WIN TWICE!!!! I f your character is selected, and you have another, I absolutely, positively will not select them as well.
3. Note that posting multiple entries will not increase your chances of winning. I view it as merely an alternate option for that contestant.

So I would prefer if people were to post only one character each, but if the drive to make another is too strong, then go ahead. Just remember that I'm not looking for High quality art, just high quality characters. And one more thing I feel needs mentioning. I was asked as well how long does the character's story need to be. Just a paragraph will do. If you want to hear the story of one of the characters above, to intermix it with your own, send me an e-mail and I'll send you the person's story. Let's try to avoid too much interfering though. Escecially with the main characters: Kaison, Solaris, Mara, Zodiac, Koshiro, Krysta, and Raiten.

I've had a few people send me e-mails, regarding stories etc... And ideas for the comic. MY GRACIOUS! We certainly have a lot of Gothic people in our midst. Don't get me wrong, as much as I like that style, this comic itself is in fact going to be VERY FUNNY. You see, when described through words, it sounds dark and depressing. I mean, here is some innocent kid, who gives up his life to a vicious monster to save gis fathe. A monster who teaches him to devours the hearts of man, and tortures him an beats him, and uses him to kill millions. But because the subject matter is sooooooo serious, I've got to balance it with something on the opposite end. Thusly, there will be a lot of CHIBI in the comic, a swimsuit episode, and well written jokes throughout the entire series. Overall the comic will be a comedy. So keep this in mind if you want to send me an episode idea. And BE WARNED: I'm VERY picky about maintaining the characters' personalities, so If something in the episode idea clashes, I'll let yo know. Just ask me to send you info on some of the characters if you want. Or just send me an idea. Thanks!

In addition...I still need voice actors and actresses to do some of the voices for some of the characters in the comic. Even if you feel your voice is inadequate, send me a clip anyway! Because I may like it. I still have yet to find voices for the following characters: Belial, Genoch Chaos, Gerad, Janessa, Jento, Sai, Krysta, Mara, Rachel, Raiten, and Solaris.
