Cool graphic looks like molten lava combined with fresh dirt mixed together with a few good choice of filters. The leaf appears to be slightly burning but also melting at the same time

Thanks ^^
I replaced the original with a less saturated version of it, tho. I realized the sat was too much for the autumn idea.

Looks really fab- and very "Bugsy-ish" since you like using all those rusty, dirty brown colours and stuff. You should do more horror artwork with this sort of effect going on- it'd look really atmospheric and Silent Hilly looking!

How exactly did you make those textures? Are they scans or photos bended together as different opacities?

but yeah, very autumn-ish

Oh, I did some horror-ish design, too. Well, more a photomanipulation than a real design, but I forgot to post it. I actually succeeded in offending one of my friends with it, so errm, yeah X3 http://desert-rain.cjb.net/flyfree.jpg

It's usually a combination of seperate photographs or scans (like the leaf, or a wrinkled piece of paper, the hand, the knife), merged together with just plain 2D textures. Then add some brush work. All in all, a lot of layers and a lot of blending modes
