I dunno if anyone has allready seen it so far (I got the oppurtunity to see it at an japanese movie festival).
and was courios what people thought about it. especial compared to the other Patlabor stuff (couse i haven't seen them but got the impression that 3 is quite different from 1/2) .

There's a 3rd movie? Sure, that's be interesting to see- Patlabor 2 is the only anime movie I've seen on the big screen and agree with Bugsy- woah, was it boring! All politics talk and little action makes animes boring in my books. The 1st one had a few good scenes though as far as I can remember.

The first one's resonance idea was cool and well developped I nearly fell asleep during the talking in the car in Patlabor 2, somewhere in the beginning. Always the same images and the tunnel lights flashing by, and a total lack of music XO

funny looks like they stayed fairly true to the first two movies
only saw trailers with a lot of mecha and military actions of the other movies.
and was thinking of the 3rd part like uh where are the cool mechs (there are in there for about 3 minutes nearly at the end).
but while it was quite the slow storytelling (which in my eyes is a common problem in japanese movies)it suited the crime story relativ well (when you managed to stay awake).

*Lol* Yeah! When I think of #2- that's the 1st scene that comes to mind.. In fact what happened in the rest of the movie? I really can't remember! Surely it couldn't have been 2 hours of a guys talking in a car?!
GiAm, did you see the subtitled version? Is there a dubbed version? Just curious

I can't really remember what happened either. Something with an old teacher of that patlabor woman? o_O; I should gobble dwn a can of coffee and watch it again. Although I'd be too hyper and switch to Excel Saga instead
