So,....if you read comics what comics do ya read?

I like the whole Marvel Ultimate line, (Ult. Spider-man, Ult. X-Men, and The Ultimates)

-Amazing Spider-man. It wasn't that great before but as soon as J.Micheal Straczynski started writing it I started reading it.

-Fathom. Micheal Turner is cool, writes a good story and draws some cool stuff....though most of his chicks look the same...but I'm not complaining.

-Witchblade. 'nuff said.

-Sojourn. Great story and über cool artwork by Greg Land.

-Incredible Hulk. Never read it before but it's really good. Bruce Jones is an amazing writer who has a really neat storyline going on now and John Romita Jr. is a really great artist.

Probably a few more, maybe I'll remember later.

Aways been a fan of Image stuff. The company was still pretty new when I first go in to comics so therewere a lot of new series to get my teeth into! My current standing order comic list goes somethng like:
Spawn, Fathom, Shidima, Warlands, Banished knights, Dark minds - yeah, I'm a Dreamwave fan! Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball z
Umm, used to get Darkness and Battle Chasers too - infact I just read Battle chasers all the way though for the 1st time last week - really cool stuff!! One thing I tend to do is save comics and not read them until a rainy day, and I've got so many unread comics now, that it'll take a decade of storms 'till I get though them all!

I love the new ultimate series, especially since I'm a pretty new comic fan. I've also read the mini - Origin series on the past of Wolverine. I loved it.

Oh, Origin was awesome!!
THE best comics I've ever read!!

The art was really great, I liked how they went straight from pencils to color, no inks. It had a really neat effect. The writing was really great too!

Anyone want to read Origin, just go to marvel.com, the whole 6 part series is in there in the dot comics section. I think you have to sign up though...but that's it.

I wonder if they'll do a follow-up to this Origin? That'd be cool.

Yea, I actually hoped it was a bit longer, I thought it was really good. The ending was pretty shocking!

I hope they do a follow-up

hmm I'm not really into american comics (I have 3 issues of HellSpawn, for the waaay cool abstract-kinda art *_*). They're too expensive for me to collect anyway :/ Almost €4.50 for a few pages, no thanks XP
Japanese comics, hmm XD~~ I"s, Video Girl AI, Love Hina, X, Angel Sanctuary, Dark Angel, Astroboy, Dragonball (the original series), Evangelion, Vagabond, ... I oughta order some new stuff soon. (hehe damn you Bomu, I got addicted to Archonia, their pick-up point is only 30 minutes from my place, by bike XD)

Hm also not much into U.S. comics (excluding Adam Warren but not much found its way over here).
For mangas I would say everything from shirow,
gunsmith cats, battle angel alita, kamikaze spriggan (but most are discontinued right now .)

But on the other side there are now manga magazins published over here.
And they are better than the cheap try of manga entertaiment.

Yeah Gun Smith Cats may have stopped but there is still god cannon eXaXXion by the same artist and is fairly new :3

Grrr I just relized that I brought two copies of the same issue of Transfornmers (the one by dreamwave) :/

I usually stop to read Pulp a collection of comics which contains some pretty strong art espically the one about Swirls Xp worth a read if you can stand it o_o

Defiance has some beautiful artwork suprised that none of you guys noticed it (except Bugsy) >_> its all done in painter and if you like hellish artwork and bodies being ripped apart you must see it !

Does having a really old box of worthless comics account for any weight in here lol?

I used to collect those marvil cards. I wonder if they are actually ever going to be worth anything.

IF it's old and rare, then there's always a change it'll be worth something ^_^

I got the GITS 2 book the same month it came out in Japan. One word - WOW! Every coloured page looks like it took ages. I guess that explined Shirow's absence from the comic scene for the last few years.

I don't like too many american comics, but yeah, Battle Chasers rules!

As for Japanese comics, my all time favorite artist is CLAMP. I love Clover. =) I also try to obtain some issues of the manga "phonebook" Magazine Z. It's Japanese, and I have to pay mucho because it's imported >( I like Oh My Goddess too. Seraphic Feather isn't all that bad. But I'd like to get some Chobits manga or maybe some Trigun (if possible) or Cowboy Bebob (if it exists.)

The only comic I read now is X-Force, because it's hip. Heh.

In fact, I'm selling the rest of my comics on eBay. Anyone interested in a big box of X-Men and other assorted comics?

Haven't read X-Force yet, it looks cool though, and the art's a lot different than any other main-stream comic out there.

Captain America is actually pretty good now too, I really like John Cassady's art!
