Why cant we just have an anime channel on sky ?. CNX boasted about it all being action n anime, but they have shit loads of marvel on there, which is rerun constantly, they refuse to show any more of spawn, past the bit when he gets Wanda pregnant, and then there's trailer park. Two complete FUCKIN, unlikable morons fillin us in on sport and other wank, inbetween acting like 10 year olds. Then there's DBZ, which theyve also rerun to death, Outlaw Star which has played through the series at least three times, and Bebop, which I have no complaints about whatsoever and dont mind being rerun so much. There's GT but it just doesnt feel anything like Z, I can't get into it.

And theres Samurai Jack too, which is odd at times but still cool.

Why cant we just have an anime channel with no brain dead Jackass wannabees as presenters, no fuckin loan adverts. I don't mind the eastern movies, but theyve rerun them about a 100 times by now too. I have no problem with Marvel, and Im quite happy to watch it, if they bother to buy more than three episodes and dont show them again, and again and again.

Im tired of anime being so hard to get, I have to go to Leeds to buy a friggin anime comic for christs sake.

Hmm.........I think im venting too much. What do you all think ?. We have all these gobshite kids cartoons nowadays, bring back the original transformers, bring back violence, not all this pussy shit 'I love you, you love me ' pink dinasaur bollocks. Im venting again........ Im just trying to say, that CNX should be spruced up, and those two Bill n Ted wannabees, hung from a big tree by their balls, pelted with rotten fruit, then ran over by an 18 wheeler driven by Paul Daniels, 'That's magic !'.

Hey, vent all you want. You ain't the only one suffering anime depletion syndrome. I'm really annoyed that ppl can't appreciate animé/manga as an art form in this country (or it could be just me being completely misinformed again

- I did get compliments about my drawings from people who know nothing about it). In any case, I always got this nasty feeling in the back of my head that women won't find me charming because I'm into drawing animé (hehe, aren't I so superficial?). It hurts when I have to pretend to be someone else, and not be able to talk about my real interests for fear of being laughed at and ridiculed. I guess that's why I love this board so much - like-minded people. (hehe, now I'm going WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off the topic

)
Anyways, I agree, we do not get much animé and manga in this country. I suggest we set up a protest outside the Houses of Parliament.

Normal people think artists are wierd. Anyone that can do something technical like that (since most peeps nowadays actually think clubbin n drinkin are hobbies) are classed as wierd, it falls nicely into the fear something you cant understand category or the ridicule something to make yourself popular category.

Maybe thats just the crowd I hang out with, most of my regular friends dont know I can draw simply because it's easier for them, or anyone for that matter, to take the piss than try to understand. Id rather not single myself out for punishment. They dont know I have a gallery on deviant, or on OM. Only four people know I can draw. My parents, my ex girlfriend and my best mate. Thats it.

Thing is, I hate the way that some people think drinking and getting completely smashed is apparently 'better' than something artistic and constructive, and therefore see fit to slag us gifted people off as 'nerds' and 'geeks'. It's terrible, really. I got nothing against drink, heck, i have the odd bacardi breezer from time to time (for more on that, check out my crazy dancing thread under the Intros section). I mean, Each to their own, right? Individuality is what makes this world such a wonderful place. To belittle someone else's individual hobbies is truly horrendously wrong.

I have to agree with you two about all the lame ass kiddy cartoons why did they stop Ren and Stempy, or Roccos modern life?

Was it because they were to grown up for the little kids to understand i mean that really pisses me off to no limit

and then there were reruns man i get so tired of reruns, but what i hate the most is when they say all new then put on reruns( kinda makes you wanta pull the triger you know?)

But yeah im really tired of Outlaw Star.

i hope they start playing GTO (even though ive seen everyone played in america )

Why cant they buy a NEW FUCKING ANIME SERIES. They shout about the damn channel being Action Anime and some other such bullshit. I AM FED UP OF RERUNS, except for Cowboy Bebop, for some reason I never get tired of it, even though ive seen the end, Real Folk Blues 1 + 2 about four times now.

I hope they buy one soon, or im going to have to go down to Trailer Park and shoot those two clueless fuckers with my best bread gun filled with sharpened toast.

'Eat bread you dateless pair of bong faries', I would say, and shoot the pair of them. Well, maybe not, but it's a fun mental image.

AND FOR GODS SAKE BUY THE NEXT SERIES OF SPAWN YOU SHITTY EXCUSE FOR A SKY CHANNEL.

Compared to say 5 years ago I thought the UK was doing great anime-wise? Even tho a lot of the episodes are repeats, it's still cool for channels to have introduced them in the first place. I remember a day where the only way to view some anime was to spend £15 on a VHS tape from Playhouse or OurPrice Video

I suppose it is doing ok for anime in general. It's not THAT hard to get but it's still not as available as it could be, especially if you want one of the series that hasnt been adopted by the mass market like Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing, Beyblade ( Quick Question about BB: It's drawn shit, is that thing American ? ). Cant think of one right now.

And CNX is now full of garbage live action series, I hate that fuckin channel.

Has anyone ever heard of a series called Tekno Man? (sounds cheesy, but that's what it was called) That used to be on Fox Kids before and that was cool. So was Escaflowne. Two of the coolest cartoons, and they don't show em any more in favour of crap like ShitBl- I mean, BeyBlades

. Sad, isn't it? People frown on quality and prefer mass market bollocks like Pokemon and all that cal. Gives you a real pain in the gulliver thinking about it.

I forget the others but how the hell do they control the beyblade. They just seem to stand there and shout at it. It's so formulaeic and cliche. And Tysons grandad talking like some sort of hipster annoys me no end.

And yet it's a craze. People have no sense nowadays, they just like what theyre told to like........like sheep. Why cant all people be like us lot, the world would make a lot more sense (or maybe less sense). Then again, thats not very fair. People should be allowed to like what they want to, no matter how shit I consider it to be.

Yeah, I remember Tekno Man! I think it started shortly after Fox Kids became live in the UK and was repeated about a year ago. I remember seeing it the first time round and really got into it. However, in the end I fell behind and didn't keep up with the story line so I have no idea if Blade (was that the lead chara's name?) ever managed to defeat his brother and the evil aliens!

Also I think it was called Tekkaman Blade in Japan, for anyone else interested in searching for it. Great Mecha Design

j/k! I'm not particularly fond of Beyblade either Neo, but these "fad animes" always come along, die, then another one comes along in it's place. I feel it's an endless cycle that's not really worth wasting my time over complaining about them.

I'll fill you in Bomu. Basically, Sabre (Blade's brother) gains the Super Teknoman powers that Blade manages to acquire. They fight. Sabre gets ownzed (beaten senseless for those that don't understand) and some weird little alien parasite in him jumps out. He turns good b4 he dies, giving Blade his teknoman Crystal.
Blade loses it, and the power of his crystal and Sabre's makes him fly to the moon (the episode started looking really surreal here, were they on any drugs?). He goes and tries to fight Darkon (that his name) and gets beaten, but his robot saves him and gets smashed completely. Blade goes into some weird ultra teknoman transformation, there's a touching family scene between Blade and Conrad, and Darkon gets his arse whupped. Properly.
Blade's crystal shatters. He falls to earth in a hail of fire, and has permanent amnesia. Star takes care of him. In short, Teknoman saves the day.
Oh yeh, I forgot about the fight between Balzac and Sword. Balzac survives, apparently. Can't remember much about how though...
Hope that's of some use.

Hehe, sorry to ignore you neo. I wish they'd show the Escaflowne movie here sometime, that would rock. And the Escaflowne episodes they decided to cut out in America, which detailed the character development. The Escaflowne was one of the coolest mechs, ever, IMHO.

i know about a channel that shows some anime but u have 2 have cable to view it it is called international channel i see some anime i'm famillar with like fushigi yugi and also showtime beyond has some anime like dirty pear whatever that is.

well if u guys really want an anime channel u would need a dish because i rememver looking through my EGM(if u don't know wat that stands for god help us all) and i found this full page add for the offical anime network it had almost every anime show i ever heard of even some i never knew were. If u want to check it out search { The Anime Network } on google.com and u'll find your channel well i hope this solves your problems. ^_^!
