I bought the complete Evangelion series and the two movies and finshed watching the lot last night.

The two last episodes and the end of evangelion totally did my head in. i am glad the Internet exsist so I could find some answers.

Kick ass series but both endings was disappointing.

I am always against Hollywood screwing with foreign movies, but what hollywood is good at is simplyfying things and maybe the Live-movie of Evangelion will tell the ending in a simpler way.

Simplifying the ending? Blasphemy!

I don't think I need to state my opinions about Evangelion again and again on this board

I watched the whole thing in one go with my wife over the last week or so and the ending was really hard to figure out (both of them) I've found some explanations on the internet which made the whole thing more clear, but I shouldn't have to take such measures to understand a movie should I?

Evangelion, and other series like Lain, are written so that you can have your own views about it. I found myself pondering the whole series again and again, so it becomes more than just a set of episodes and a movie. That's what I thought was intriguing.

And yeah, Penpen is the coolest anime character ever

Well maybe it did my head in watching it all in one go (We watch 4 episodes before the last two and the two movies the same day)

I feel the ending was a bit Twin Peaks. It could easily have been more clear without giving a conclusion.

(ps: I loved Twin Peaks, but again the ending was a bit too messy)

Evangelion is the first Anime series I have ever seen, previously I have only watched movies like Akira etc so Evangelion is a step into the unknown for me. I really liked it though

I bought it from this guy I found on www.ebay.co.uk.

The complete series and the two movies for £26! very cheap and it is not a dodgy copy as far as I can tell (my guess is it is from HongKong)
