Wasn't it Kaneda's bike? or are the names different in the manga? I've only seen the animated movie you see.

Looks pretty authentic. Was that shots from the Tokyo Bike fair or something similar? How'd you find out about it?

My brother's a big akira fan (runs www.bbakira.co.uk) and he mentioned how "Kaneda's bike" was one of the most popular section on the site.

I found it on a Design portal, www.pixelsurgeon.com I think.

I don't know if it is for real but it sure looks real
