I think Trigun is great.. such a very Unique character Vash is.. I just wish it could a bit more serious and not just instantly gonig from that to kiddy comedy.. still I like the show a lot.

I've never seen the anime, only drawings of the characters in it. Whats the deal with Vash's arms or that dude who carries the big cross or the dougnuts.
I guess I'll have to watch and find out

Vash used to have his normal arm until his brother Knives shot it completely off. If you know who the character Legato is you may want to take a close look at his arm, because he uses the Vash's arm that Knives shot off a long time ago!
In the past storyline Vash was rescued by a floating spaceship from the past mission of SEEDS and it was there that Vash recieved his robotic arm that has a secondary function to change it's appearence and reveal a machine gun arm. Vash eventually recieves an upgrade for his robotic arm later in the series.

The guy who carries that big cross is the character Nicholas D. Wolfwood,a "traveling priest". That cross he carries is actually one weapon. It conceals several handguns and later on it gets upgraded and it has a second function as a rocket launcher. Wolfwood is actually a member of the Gung-ho gun villains ordered to protect and watch over Vash. Then one of one of the Gung-ho guns named Chapel the Evergreen tells Wolfwood that he must do what he is told by the order of Knives, their leader. Wolfwood eventually befriends Vash and becomes a friend. Unlike Vash, Wolfwood would resort to violence when he thinks it is necessary so he and Vash do not always agree with each other when it comes to taking a person's life away.

Vash's favorite food is doughnuts, he's seen eating them in I think 2 different episodes, one being the first I think.
