Go to a comic book (wich SHOULD rent out anime; mine does ) and rent one or the other out (bioth I mean) and see wich is better than buy. if you don't feel like doing that than take a chance

Huh? Samurai X is just the American name for the same series.
However, there are both Rurouni Kenshin oav's (it's only 6 episodes - although the latest 2 might not be available yet. They score a 9 in my system ;p) and the tv series (which score 7 in the beginning, and 5 in the end).
The oav's are about what happened long before the tv series and are drawn by a different artist. They rock ;p

Cloud if u want to get into a good anime/manga might suggest the wonders of "Naruto" It a pretty cool story in all. basiclly it's about ninja coolness . If u want the anime it's self u have to get sub titles but i think they have a manga tranzlated.
but 4 real i'd check it out if u haven't already great anime! well i've only watched 1-10 eps so neh i rate it a 9.5

IMO, the oav's are worth buying (I got them ;p)
If you're really bent on spending your money, sure go and buy the first few dvd's, but I'd spend it on Evangelion/Trigun/Cowboy Bebop first ;p
You can, of course, always try and download some eps and decide for yourself.

Schizotom, check how big the file is. A big file will take longer to upload. If it is big, try compressing it down to jpeg (or, if it's black + white, gif). Can't think of anything else at the moment, but will come back to you on that. Oh, Rurouni Kenshin rules by the way. I'd give the series (only thing I seen) at least 8. Naruto's OK, kinda missed a lot of episodes and couldn't be arsed to catch up with it.

I think that peace maker is also a cool samuri anime show. But There should be some other good ones out there.
