I couldn't believe it when I saw comics and graphic novels in 7/11 over there! How cool is that?Anyway, I didn't end up picking up too much, but I did get...
>Gungrave (series 1)
>Ghost In The Shell (1st Movie)
>Sequence (manga)
>Death Note vol 1 & 2
The graphic novels were SO much cheaper than here. I got 3 for basically what I would pay one and a bit here!! I was so excited!
I also got those cool japanese brush pens which I'm still getting used to, brushes, poster inks and some local comics which are in Malay but they were worth buying for the art alone.
I have finished Sequence, which I about a vampire called Titi who is indeed a bishonen and a teenager called Kanata who are bound by a spell called a Sequence, its all a bit confusing and the story ends a bit abruptly but it was pretty good. I have read about half of Death Note 1, and so far I am pretty much hooked.
It's unreal how much manga I saw over there. It was in the daily newspaper, there were heaps of shops that sold just anime, it was on tee-shirts, posters and it seemed to be a big thing...much more than in Australia.
The one thing I didn't like about Malaysia was the all the guys who perve on you and make it damn well obvious...
